We're about 150 steps from the sand beach across the beautifully maintained lawn of Waipuilani Park.
Relax on the lanai with the love of your life and a favorite drink. Watch the windsurfers by day, then the sun set, framed by palm trees.
The two romantic bedrooms have queen beds, night stands, ceiling fans, closets, and lots of room for suitcases. The master bedroom has a walk-though closet to the private master half bath. Third floor location and lots of windows provides a great cross breeze. Also has flat screen TV in both bedrooms!
Enjoy a lengthy stay inexpensively by utilizing the full kitchen - Corian counter-top, combination range/oven, large microwave, full-sized refrigerator and dish washer. Cabinets hold a full range of pots, pans, coffee maker, blender, crock-pot, and dinnerware. Kitchen table seats four. Kitchen cabinets replaced in May 2014.

Well-maintained bamboo floors throughout except for kitchen and baths, which have white marble. Huge ocean view from the living room, which has floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall windows.
Walk towards the beach from the condo across Waipuilani Park and you'll find well-maintained free public tennis courts just a few feet north and south. Turn around to look at the Condo unit and, slightly to the right, you'll see the peak of the Haleakala volcano that reaches 10,000 feet.
10 minute walk to shops, dining, services, post office.

In 2004, my Daughter had the opportunity to pick a Dream come true from Make-A-Wish and she picked going to Maui. On that trip we stop at Cheese Burger in Paradise to have dinner. While we were there we met a lady, Gail Swanson, who was singing and playing her guitar for the place. We have always kept in touch with her and my daughter and have became a very good friends. Besides being a very good singer and song writer, Gail became a Realtor on Maui. In 2011 I asked to her to help us find a 'home away from home' to share with friends and family and maybe spend half the year there. Gail and I spent the day together visiting places at near the water, but none of them impressed me enough to buy. Then, Gail told me about some good friends of hers that wanted to sell but the condo was not on the market. Gail arranged a visit... As soon as I walked in, I fell in love with the condo and the view.

Since first visiting Maui in 2004, we've returned multiple times each year. We love Maui! Whether relaxing at the beach, visiting friends, or shopping, Maui is our vacation spot and Kihei the center.
For us, Maui has the right combination of attributes that have us coming back for more - romance, quietness, small town, urban, country, relaxing, and nearby activities. We've found the local residents to be very friendly and giving.
This particular unit is as close to the beach as most other condos, but you'll cross only Waipuilani park, not a street. Waipuilani park is a big plus - a well-maintained county park that is little-known, but has public tennis courts, a volley ball court, and huge lawn with well-spaced mature palm trees.
Our frequent visits to Maui have allowed us to make many local friends of all professions and walks of life. The great diversity of Kihei and Maui keep this vacation spot enjoyable.
We had a great time and enjoyed staying at this condo (family with two children age 6 months and 2.5 years), which was conveniently located right on the water and close to grocery stores etc. in Kihei. A good central location to the many places we visited on the island. (A favorite was the sugar beach pie shop). The owners have thoughtfully provided almost everything we could have needed. The shared wifi had unfortunately been cancelled the week before we arrived, so we blew through our data packages almost I mmediately--not sure if that has been replaced--and so we all spent a bit more time at the coffee shop than perhaps we would have otherwise, but still found this condo to be of excellent value. Loved the location right by the tennis courts--very convenient. The pool was a hit with the kids although we did have to try to be quiet (difficult with a toddler) as it is in a courtyard surrounded by units. Re: the no jumping in the pool rule, this is ridiculous--I get no diving and no running, no roughhousing of course, but no jumping is unreasonable. Although one resident tried to tell me that it was for safety so that children know they should never jump in a pool ever, as a former lifeguard/swim instructor, I can say that no person passes level 1 swimming lessons without being able to jump in the pool as it is a basic safety skill. Anyway, that would be the only thing preventing me from coming back when the kids were older, as I think it would be even more important once they're more adept swimmers. But I would definitely recommend to other friends and relatives looking for a longer vacation rental. The inlaws joined us for a while and they also thought it was a great spot.
First visit to the islands, great vacation, great condo! Was great to have a kitchen with full amenities and a washer/dryer! Loved that there were beach chairs, coolers and possibly the one thing you forgot in the storage closet. The view was great, the walk to the beach, minimal, and since we were there for Tropical Storm Ana the lightening show was spectacular. I would recommend this condo to anyone I know that is going to Maui!
Well, what can we say...this condo was much more than we ever expected. It's an older building when you pull up but, when we opened the door to it we were so happy to see what a beautifully decorated condo it was with a million dollar view out the floor to ceiling windows. The pictures are very accurate to what is posted and the condo is well equipped with everything you would need for a long term stay. This condo is also minutes away from amazing beaches, restaurants, grocery stores and a drug store. We recommend " Three's Bar and Grill" and "Fred's Café" in the town. We actually went a couple of times. My husband, myself, our daughter (19) and son (16) stayed here for 3wks and there was more than enough room for all of us. We did have to keep the noise down though because of the older long-term people that have permanent residence here. I would not recommend this place for partiers or young families. We enjoyed watching the kite surfers daily right in front of condo. The grounds are immaculate and the beach is perfect for long walks. Can not wait to return. Mahalo <3
Our 30 day stay was very nice. The condo unit itself is in excellent condition, well maintained and nicely stocked with everything that you could need for a long term stay. The kitchen has almost everything you could need including spices and cleaning supplies, the washer and dryer in the unit are very convenient, all bathrooms are in very good condition and the beds in both rooms are very comfortable. The unit also has a parking space for rentals. The grounds are well maintained, pool is kept clean and the location is quite secure. The unit backs on to open green space and the beach, there are sunset views every night from the balcony. The location is close to several grocery stores, pharmacy, fast food restaurants, shopping and car rentals (10 min walk).
All of our communications with the owners were excellent. They were very helpful and accommodating. Our check-in and check-out was very easy and all information they provided was very easy to understand and accurate.
The only issue that we found with this rental was that it was less kid-friendly than we anticipated. The "long term residents" of the condo are an older group who are not always that tolerant to little kids. Partiers and families looking for a place to let loose should look elsewhere since the restrictions around the pool and the quiet hours will likely end up causing issues for everyone.
Overall, it was an excellent location for the price and I would recommend the unit to others.
We stayed at this property for one month and just loved the condo. We found the condo to be just as described in the pictures. The view was absolutely amazing and loved watching the kite skiers every night as well as the sunset. We found the condo clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Very quiet location and away from the hustle of the restaurants. We certainly would recommend this condo. Debbie was great to deal with and followed up with us as soon as we arrived to ensure we had our needs taken care of. Loved the yoga right out in front on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Thank you for sharing your place with us, it was like being at home....but with the beautiful weather to go along with the condo!!!
WE HAVE FOUND THE PERFECT PLACE FOR US. FROM THE BEGINNING, WE FELT AT HOME. THE APARTMENT IS JUST AS BEAUTIFUL AS DESCRIBED AND AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURES. IT IS CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED. THE OCEAN-VIEW FROM THE LIVING ROOM AND THE LANAI IS AMAZING. WE WOULD RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO ALL OF OUR FRIENDS. WE LOVE THIS PLACE AND WE COME BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
