Chalet, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Mountain living at its best. This newly renovated, luxurious chalet with Hot Tub, is nestled on the side of mountain with commanding views. Come enjoy all the Springtime activites Wintergreen and Nelson County have to offer. Our home is eloquently decorated yet comfortably modest with furniture, antiques, and artwork from local shops and artisans.

Upon arriving, immediatley take a quick hike on the Appalachain Trail and leave your cares behind. When ready to take a break, come back to the Chalet, fix a beverage at the bar and sit by the stone fireplace place or slip into the hot tub.

The home has vaulted ceiling throughout including the family room with new leather sofa, swivel chairs, TV with libraries of DVDs, books, and games. The kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and is well furnished to prepare a gourmet meal for your family. There is a dry bar next to the kitchen and dining room with sliding doors leading to the deck and hot tub.

The master bedroom has a king size bed, new mattress, attached bathroom with river rock flooring, slate counter with vessel sink. The second king bedroom with new bedding has shared bathroom with natural stone flooring, hand made maple counter and stone vessel sink.

A spiral staircase leads to the third bedroom or bunk room with custom built in double bunk beds with trundle which sleeps up to six. There is a large TV/DVD and area which provides an escape for kids or adults.

It is a short walk or drive to the Black Rock Market, Mountain Inn, Spa, and all the incredible ammendities that Wintergreen resort has to offer. The Appalachian trail is within steps of our house and the BlueRidge Parkway, George Washington National Forest, and Shirando State Park are within a three mile drive.

On your drive in or while you are here, please stop by some of Virginia's best wineries and breweries that are located off route 151. Check out www.monticellowinetrial.com and look under Western Trail or www.Nelson151.com

Don't forget to take a hike to crabtree falls, said to be the highest waterfall in the Mid Atlantic.

Great getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is tastefully decorated with all the conveniences of home. The teenagers especially enjoyed their own hang out in the loft with oversized bunks and their own television. Even though we had a short day of skiing due to a winter thunderstorm, we were able to come back to the house kick back and enjoy having dinner and hanging out by the fire watching March madness and later hitting the hot tub. The house was convieniently located right off of Tyro slope. Thumbs up! p.s. we had a question upon arrival and Rod was quick to answer our call and question :)

I stayed at this Ski Cabin over new year's and it was perfect! Great location right on the slope. We couldn't have asked for better ski conditions. We had 10 guests and it fit us perfectly, the hot tub was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend this cabin for a group ski trip or quiet retreat.

Nice weekend retreat

Stayed at this cozy chalet for a short weekend get-away with a few friends; occasion is a send-off to a very good friend who was returning to his homeland. The place was very warm & comforting. Rooms were spacious. Useful amenities like washer & dryer, dishwasher, grill, slow cooker, spacious fridge. Friends enjoyed the hot tub very much. Liked the area; close to hiking trail. And Rod was very nice and easy person to speak to. Thank you!

We had a great stay! The only thing I would suggest is getting the sliding doors fixed from kitchen area to deck. Very hard to open and almost impossible to shut! Otherwise very beautiful location and close to good breweries! Short trip to Charlottesville downtown and Crabtree falls!!
