Welcome to our new spacious Beachfront condo on Historic Pass a Grille Beach, with its huge balcony directly overlooking the glistening Gulf of Mexico. You will enjoy stunning sunsets and a magnificent moon lit ocean view

We're on the second floor with a large 28 foot balcony.The condo is spacious (1350 square feet) Two bedroom two bathroom split plan with a very large living/dining area. All new upscale furniture. The building is gated for extra piece of mind and has an elevator. Each unit has its own covered parking space.

What—Never heard of Pass-A-Grille Beach? Well, then, before we tell you about our condo we’ll have to educate you about the first beach community on the Gulf of Mexico to be developed as a weekend get-away location for successful Tampa and Saint Petersburg residents.

The area is a small spit of land merely 31 blocks long and one block wide at the south end of St. Petersburg Beach, starting just south of the historic Don Cesar Hotel. Pass-A-Grille got its name from Cuban fishermen, called “Grillers,” who would camp on the island to smoke their catch of fish before heading home. As you traveled through the pass you could see their fires, hence the name Pass-A-Grille.

Pass-A-Grille is NOT your typical Florida “beachy” beach town with hotels, motels, swimsuit stores and fast food stores wall-to-wall, If you are looking for this, you’ll have to go further north, past the Don Cesar. Pass-A-Grille is more sedate with a convenient grocery, quaint shops, inviting bars and restaurants, and a more relaxed style. And, everything is within easy walking distance, because the blocks are short.

22 blocks of beachfront and walkway a few steps to a nearby dune walkover. Once you cross the dune you’ll be presented with a wide, sandy beach stretching in both directions. It's like having your own private beach. There are never big crowds. A locals secret.

You’ll find some good bars, restaurants, and ice cream shops on this (the west) side. The Hurricane Restaurant is one of the most popular places, and you’ll get a great view while sipping a drink at the third-floor bar. By the way, there are no high-rise hotels on Pass-A-Grille—there are a couple of 7-story condos, but that’s it—

Or, walk one block to the other (east) side of the island, where you can dip a line in the water, arrange a fishing charter or scenic cruise, or merely stroll along the marine sites to some rather excellent restaurants. .

Less than an hour from the many attractions in Tampa and St. Petersburg. Our condo is in one of the 7-story buildings in Pass-A-Grille, six blocks from the southern end of the island, and as close to “on the beach” as you can get. To the west there is the Gulf of Mexico, the beach, the street, and our condo, with only several palm trees to impede your view of the sunset.

Paddle boarding on the beach. There is a company that will bring the paddle boards to your door. People watching from the balcony. We are located in the heart of pass a grille. You can walk or bike to everything. Their is a local trolley that can take you all the way to Clearwater beach( can even take bike on trolley). No car is needed.

Beautiful Ocean View Condo

Lovely, large condo with beautiful views of the ocean and sunsets in an excellent, quiet location where you could walk to everything. Just head out the front door to the beautiful beach, or walk to restaurants and beach bars with entertainment. Bicycles were included for rides around the island. The owners, Katie and Teri, were very helpful and accommodating. The condo was well supplied with linens and supplies. We would highly recommend this condo for rental!

We stayed at Terry & kate's condo for the month of March 2012. What a great condo. Owners go out of their way to make sure your every need is covered. The condo is bright and open with a view of the gulf. Every detail has been addressed and their pride of ownership shows. We so enjoyed our lazy days on the beach and we would definitely book here in the future.

If you are looking for a clean,comfortable and beautifully furnished condo-gorgeous ocean views-fun activities(biking,swimming,walking,shopping)-look no further.
This condo is fully equipped for your stay.Owners have thought of everything & even asked for suggestions.All conveniences: all the way to beach towels-beach chairs-bikes make this an easy and enjoyable vacation.
Pass-A-Grille Beach is so clean & quiet-just cross the street (very little traffic).Many good restaurants(I loved the Hurricane)-delicious ice cream (Working Cow).
Trolley Bus System: excellent-you can go on outings(check the beaches or St-Pete)-go food shopping-even without a car I got around very easily.

VRBO condo rental experience at Pass a Grille

The owners description of this roomy condo is everything & more than they claim! This is the location you will desire and it is all in a safe ,quiet, upscale neighbourhood! The condo is totally equipped even beach towels,beachchairs, sun umbrella & scissors to cut the tags from that newly purchased bathing suit. It is spotless & tastefully decorated. Pack light ! leave the extra suitcases at home, because there is a washer & dryer in this unit. 2 couples or a family can be comfy in the 2 lrg bdrms & each with its own full bathroom for added privacy. Games TV DVD, even a grill -- to BBQ the fish you catch on the Miss Pass a Grille fishing charter-- is all provided. The 1/2 day charter is only $49.00 and man did we catch a lot of fish! The entire condo is air conditioned but we preferred the ocean breeze flowing through the windows. If you want a leisurely exercise the owners have included 2 cruiser bikes, one with a basket! which we used to get our groceries AND there is talk of adding a couple of paddle boards in the near future. On our 1 rainy day we had the luxury of a covered balcony where we sat with our nachos & beer &chatted. Its 2nd floor level offers great ocean views + the opportunity to chat with folks strolling by on the sidewalk or walking their dogs.
Cars?Parking? put such notions out of your mind. The area offers an excellent transit trolley system. EVEN ME who has never learned to ride public transit! ( I live in a very remote rural part of British Columbia) had a very comfortable experience. Of course this was due to the Pass a Grille trolley driver named Ron. Ron patiently explains how the routes function, ticket purchase tips in an unhurried fashion. RON ROCKS!! 1 ticket is $2 unless you are 65 + then only $1. A day pass is $4.50 weekly is $20 and monthly is $65. this allows continuous riding.
So go ahead check out the prices and calendar availability. Even if the month you want looks taken check with the owners sometimes they can juggle things around. Come alone or lower the cost by bringing along another couple or your daughter and her family hint hint!!!!!!!!!
