Having travelled the world and most of Canada, I feel that Victoria is the best city in Canada in which to live, B.C. the most stunningly beautiful province with nearby Vancouver consistently highly rated city in world polls. I have lived in Beverly Hills, Orange county, etc and nothing compares to the relaxed pace understated affluence and beauty of Victoria and environs.
The Canadian political and economic climate are stable, the city is safe and geared for tourism.
It is walking distance to a fabulous park and disney- like downtown
The garden is a fabulous to bike inside the glass enclosed deck on the second floor
