Family owned home was operated as a bed and breakfast. Has all the latest amenities. Lots of space for the family to spread out and play at the lake. A great place to stay and take day trips to Mackinaw Island, Traverse City, Cross in the Woods & Mount Pleasant Casino. The town of Houghton Lake offers a one of a kind log cabin theater, large craft store and craft shows. Activities are swimming, boating, skiing, fishing and biking.

Keywords: 2 story lake house -- Houghton Lake's first post office. The house operated as a bed in breakfast in the 1990's after renovations. The house offers a fabulous view of lake.

Houghton Lake is where my parents took us as children and where we have been going to for over 30 years.

What makes this house unique

The house is fun because it's over 100 years old. There is lots space for the family to spread out. TV room loft upstairs for kids. Family room and living room on main floor for adults. Upstairs outdoor balcony, porch off family room and outdoor balcony for outside dining. Unique basement with stone walls for playing air hockey and hanging out. Swimming, fishing and boating right from the dock in the yard.
