Our Dover Bay Retreat air conditioned condo provides guests with a quiet, sunny, immaculately clean, spacious, smoke free and tastefully furnished condo surrounded by acres of pristine wetlands and nine miles of pet friendly walking trails.
Large windows show the active Walston pond and the Cabinet and Selkirk Mountains.
Cathedral ceilings add to the spaciousness of the 1340 square feet of comfortable, relaxing indoor living space.
We are pet friendly and do not charge a pet fee. Pets are part of the family, and our many repeat guests are responsible pet owners and non pet owners who just love our private, relaxing, and well furnished retreat.
Sandpoint is one of the nation's most interesting, beautiful small towns. You and your family can walk, bike, or drive into town to enjoy all that it has to offer, but when you're ready to come home for the night you'll enjoy quiet nights in a planned residential wetlands community where cars drive slowly and people passing by wave at one another.
Or stay in Dover--rent a kayak and explore the miles of wetlands, river, and lake; rent a boat or bring your own and keep it at the Dover Bay marina; enjoy a fabulous night out at the restaurant Dish with its waterfront outside dining (within walking distance from our condo). Enjoy a leisurely walk along one of the many trails following the wetlands, waterfront park, and river. Don't be surprised if you see blue herons, beaver, deer, osprey, bald eagles, and even an occasional moose.
Dover Bay is a 285-acre planned community, over half of which is set aside as undeveloped open space. It's private and quiet but not isolated.
We take pride in providing our guests with nearly everything they need to relax, cook gourmet meals, and spend quality family time together. And family to us includes pets. As pet owners ourselves, we know that responsible pet owners make sure their pets are healthy, up-to-date on shots, altered, and well behaved, which is why we do not require a separate pet fee. People who love and travel with their pets are, in our experience, the best guests. In over eight years of renting to pet owners, we’ve never once had an issue with a guest and his or her pet, which is why we also attract guests who do not travel with their pets as well. No one—pet owners or not—wants to stay in a home that reeks of pee, is infested with fleas, or shows the wear and tear of irresponsible pet owners.

We are a family of three who live in Spokane, WA. Both my husband and I are teachers. We stay in our condo during the ski season, so we 'test drive' all of our appliances, linens, kitchen utensils, etc. and replace and add as needed. We want you to enjoy your stay as much as we do.

Wildlife viewing, walking trails, close location to Schweitzer and Sandpoint, ID. Great biking, hiking, active art community, beautiful location.
See moose, deer, beavers, osprey, eagles, and other wildlife. Quiet, little traffic, easy walking trails, paved biking/walking trail, privacy, sunny, comfortable and extra clean.
My friends and I had the perfect girls weekend. We loved our stay and had everything we needed. Being so close to downtown sandpoint was a big plus. Perfect balance of relaxing with a view and getting out for some shopping and good food. We would love to stay again.
I stayed in the condo with my dog and my teenage son. The location on Dover Bay was quiet and scenic. Great walking paths and only 3 miles to Sandpoint. The Condo is in immaculate condition, with everything needed - wireless, TV, lots of videos, games, kitchen well supplied with pots/pans/ dishes, etc. Also includes a gas grill on the deck.
Would suggest that the owners update the directions to include the actual address of the condo. Also noted that the road from Hwy 2 changes names a couple of times before reaching the destination and was mislabeled on the map. Only other glitch was that the wireless info was in a booklet tucked away in a drawer. Suggest including this info in the confirmation as well.
We stayed in January and found the condo very welcoming, comfortable and had everything we needed!! Plenty of space for the family to relax, cook meals and stay warm on the snowy days. Good location convenient to Sandpoint and areas around there. Nice views as well!
We had a wonderful stay at this condo. It is tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. The owner addressed any questions right away. It was a very welcoming and relaxing environment for us and our dog. We would come back again.
We brought 3 adults, 2 teenage boys, a 1 year old and 2 dogs to stay in this condo for 1 week and it was perfect. They owner is amazing at communication and was great to work with. We will definitely stay again if we come back to Sun Valley.
We were very pleased with this condo. It was roomy and very clean. It was very close to our reunion so some of the other family members stayed in Dover Bay also. The code system is secure and we loved the balcony to sit and just enjoy the view! Thank you Rachel.
Dover Bay is a planned residential resort community set on 285 acres, most of which are set aside for wetlands, parks, and trails. It is a quiet, tranquil development safe for kids to play and ideal for quiet nature walks. Roads are plowed when one inch or more of snow falls. It is conveniently located 3 miles from Sandpoint, Idaho where there are many shops, galleries, and water sports. Schweitzer's park and ride lot is located about 20 minutes drive, or if you want to drive all the way to the top yourself it will take you a bit less than 45 minutes. 35 miles to Silverwood, Idaho's largest theme park; easy access to outstanding hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, and other outdoor activities. Easy driving distance to Sandpoint Music Festival.

Return our condo in original condition and your Good Care Deposit ($400) will be quickly returned in kind.
Lost keys: while we have a keyless front door, there is a key for the garage and a garage door remote. Lost garage key not replaced within three business days are charged a $35.00 fee.
Lost/missing garage door opener is a non-refundable $100 fee to have a locksmith replace and recode.
