The String of Pearls is a wonderful studio cottage. It is a perfect rental for couples who are looking for a very comfortable and affordable place to stay while vacationing on St John. The String of Pearls is nestled on the beach of an upscale neighborhood. Its location is private and there is parking right near the house. The villa is equipped with everything you need to make your stay a very pleasant one. My husband and I have stayed at the String of Pearls four times already, and hope to stay there again. We love staying at the String of Pearls. Not only does the SOP have all the comforts of home, but my husband and I both feel that it is in the perfect location. First of all, it’s right on the water of Great Cruz Bay. A rare find! We sit and relax by the water both day & night. From the String of Pearls, we can just take a short walk along the beach, and we’re at the Westin Resort with all of its amenities. We can also just jump into the car (or take a taxi from the Westin) and it’s only 5 minutes to Cruz Bay, with all its shops and restaurants plus ferry access, or about 10 minutes away from the absolutely gorgeous north shore beaches. BJ, the owner of the String of Pearls, is great. She respects your privacy, but is always just a phone call away if needed, and is always willing to assist in any way. She makes you feel like family. She’s wonderful and a pleasure to know. We look forward to vacationing with BJ again in the future.
