Experience Jackson Hole from your own cozy, private cottage. Drive 5 minutes to the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to ski world-class terrain. Walk down to the Snake River for private access fishing, running, mountain biking, and excellent walking. Just 10 minutes to the town of Jackson, but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood close to the mountains, the cottage is perfectly located to access the entire valley.
Ride your bikes everywhere if you choose! Our neighborhood is close to the bike path, which can be taken to Teton Village and into Grand Teton National Park, or over to the town of Wilson. It takes only 5 minutes or so to bike to the local coffee shop, bank, grocery store, yoga studio, health club, tennis and golf club and sushi restaurant. Public transportation is easily accessible with a START bus stop located off the bike path, which is the best way to get to Teton Village and avoid parking fees.
Alpine skiers will find so many great choices. The Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is right down the road, of course, but we are also just an hour from the Grand Targhee Ski Resort in Idaho, which is famous for incredible powder and cat skiing. Snow King Mountain in the town of Jackson is a fun place to ski, and is often open for night skiing. If you prefer to ski the backcountry, Teton Pass is just 10 minutes away, where locals go to access the best of the backcountry terrain. We can put you in touch with mountain guides to take you up there and experience skiing without lift lines or crowds.
Nordic skiers can walk right out down to the Snake River and ski along our private access dyke. They can also choose from machine groomed nordic track skiing and Teton Village (5 minutes drive), Teton Pines Country Club (2 minutes drive), or Trail Creek Ranch (10 minutes drive). The town of Jackson also grooms many other trails throughout the valley that are perfect for cross country skiing, and dogs are welcome. We don't walk our dogs in the winter, we ski with them!
This loft style cottage has gorgeous unobstructed Teton views, and an outdoor deck for relaxing while enjoying the mountains. Moose often wander through the yard, as do the occasional herd of elk. It is wise to take a peak out your front door before you step out, in case the moose have parked themselves on your deck.
The 1000 square foot cottage has an open layout, with a large kitchen/living area, 2 bedrooms, one bathroom and a pull-out sofa for additional guests. Windows in every room give a panoramic view of the Tetons and surrounding foothills.
The kitchen is stocked with dishes, glasses, mugs, cooking utensils, pots and pans, a coffeemaker, and cookbooks. You'll have just about everything you need if you like to stay in and cook. A fully stocked gourmet grocery and butcher shop is just a few minutes down the road. There are many good restaurants in all price ranges in the area, and we can help steer you in the right direction for good meals.
The bedrooms have cozy linens and pillows, extra blankets, and new firm mattresses. A pull-out sofa-bed in the living area is perfect for kids and extra guests. You'll find thick towels in the bathroom, which is small, but has a comfortable tub.
The owners live on the property year round. The cottage is separate and private, has its own yard, and shares a driveway on the 7 acre lot. The heated garage provides parking for one vehicle. A washer/dryer is conveniently located in the garage for the guests' use.
