Rental includes a welcome package and access to area information and assistance from the well qualified bilingual (English/Spanish) management team. Unit is tastefully and comfortably decorated, has a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, Apple TV with Netflix capabilities, front and back patios, towels and beach chairs, wall safe and night time security guard. Complex is beautifully landscaped and includes a pool, community barbecue and hosts weekly massages, bridge games and Playa's first organized farmers and artisan market on site.
Casa Maya is perfectly situated in the North End, walking distance to everything. The beach past Coco Reef is awesome and not busy at all. The apartment is well appointed and very clean and comfortable. Fantastic value, you will not be disappointed! I would go back in a second!
Wonderful place to stay. A little walk from the busy 5 ave, but fantastic for anyone who enjoys a restful nights sleep. Clean, safe, comfortable and right next to prime beach access. Rocio was amazing and super helpful. Parking was convenient and easy. Owner is kind and was extremely helpful, and such a pleasure to do business with. We'll definitely stay again next time in Playa!!!
I would highly recommend!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed having a condo as our home base while in Playa. We've always stayed in hotels but decided to try something different. It was nice to be able to connect with other people staying at the other condos and share tips on where to eat and shop. I also enjoyed being able to feel at "home" and being able to spread out a bit. We couldn't be happier with our choice, thank you.
First time I booked online a condo, and its owner Hellen guided me kindly through all of the process leaving me no doubt this was THE place to stay in Playa. Cannot describe my happy surprise when we put a foot on the apartment... both me and my husband exlaimed "Wow!", and instantly loved every tiny detail, every decoration item, the ambience, the comfort... specially the bed so big and comfortable that gave us a great rest after sightseeing beautiful Riviera Maya . Let me say it is an apartment different from everything as it has its own personal touch, sometimes it looked as if the place was somewhere to collect precious travel and exotic souvenirs, as one would do at home, which of course made you feel ‘as home away from home’. You'll find everything you'll need (even Netflix and a velvet couch which I adored!) and a full beach kit to enjoy (big umbrella, two chairs and cooler). Location in condo Les Alizes was perfect, secluded and intimate in its backyard patio and private lush garden and also close to pool, which unfortunatelly we had no chance to enjoy as we were out always, but looked truly appeling. The condo in all is very well maintained by the pool and garden janitor and specially local host Rocío who not only supervised every detail but also gave good restaurante and beach advise and was a very kind spanish-speaking friend (as we are Argentinians!) while being away from our own home. Important also to point out the permanent nightwatch guard (and even a Police Station is being built in front of condo) and all the staff is trustworthy and very kind. Also super convenient location in Playa as is really close 500 mts from ‘Quinta Avenida' (lovely to walk, endless and full of lovable little restaurantes and boutiques) and also surroundings even when night was dark are walkable, safe and with a local charm worth to explore. Dare yourself to discover your new favourite restaurante off the beaten path from 5ta Ave. as the city is full of surprises just round every corner, don't miss a local 'taqueria' (like the Shangarito, 200 mts. from Casa Maya) and the 7 Eleven will provide you all emergency goods your may have forgotten to pack (right attached to condo and open 24x7). Sadly, the beach 100mts. from condo may not be the best at this time, as unfortunatelly condominums buildings are developing at a too rapid speed sometimes forgetting to save some beach for future generations. Nevermind, it was a stay to remeber for life :)
Condo was very nice and as described. On site staff was great. Location is quit, a block from the beach, and a short walk to all of the action.
The wife and I stayed for 9 days in Casa Maya. Communications with Rocio were quick and accurate. She is a pleasure to work with.
The condo is exactly as described and shown in the pictures. It's a great location in the Alizes complex, with easy access to the pool, community grill and lounge area. Nice little patio off the bedroom where we had morning coffee/breakfast and usually dinner as well. The condo is well equipped and we never lacked for anything. We booked the Monday Massages ahead of our trip and that was one of the real highlight's of our stay, quiet and relaxing! Quiet time at the condo complex is 10pm, we slept with our patio sliders open every night and enjoyed the fresh air coming in from the sea. Rocia and David are onsite all day(except Sunday, they deserve the day off!) and quick to address any questions/needs that arise. They are both super nice and very easy to communicate with.
The location of the Alizes complex could not be better. A quick 3 minute walk gets you to Coco Beach, one of the nicest beaches in the area. We walked the beach to the north many times, quiet and beeeautiful!! You can walk for hours and enjoy the soft white sand and warm blue Caribbean sea! It's a little busy on Sundays, but a pleasure to see all the local families and children enjoying their day off. The kid's are laughing and smiling all the time, once you get there you will know why.. A walk to the South will take you to the busier beach club/resort area of Playa Del Carmen. A great place to find a bucket of beer, some coconut shrimp and watch the world go by. Within 15 minutes you are at the main beach in Playa, a block from 5th aVe and all the action. Walking away from the beach up CTM, it's a couple of blocks to the North(quieter) end of 5th ave. Lots of newer restaurants and shops there and a quick walk down 5th ave. gets you to the heart of the tourist distict in Playa and all the action. We came back late at night several times and always felt safe walking in the area. There is a police station right across the street from alizes and lots of presence in the neighborhood. The walk up CTM towards 30th ave. is very cool, full of local markets and nice little places to grab breakfast or taco's. The fresh squeezed juices at Esmeralda's are amazing as are the empanada's the gal sells off her cart right in front of there. For 36 peso's(about 3 bucks) you can get a liter of fresh OJ and a couple fresh hot empanada's with all the fixin's. Go check it out!
