Silver lake is 460 acres of some of the best fishing waters in Kenosha County. The lake is centrally located between Chicago and Milwaukee near the Wisconsin/Illinois border. Lake species include musky, northern pike, walleye, largemouth bass, and pan fish.

Available all year round...

During the spring, summer and fall seasons you can indulge in the clean waters of Silver Lake. Fisherman and kayakers can enjoy the wake restrictions before 10 am and after 7 pm. Water sports right out the back door (tubing, boating, wake boarding, water skiing, and swimming). Canoe or kayak Silver Lake or nearby Fox River. Silver Lake County park has one of the best sandy beaches in Southeastern Wisconsin, staffed with lifeguards; snack bar, and shelter. Multiple guide services are available for fisherman. Boat launches include a DNR (free), village (fee), and marina (fee). Bait shops and vending in Silver Lake and nearby Paddock Lake. Gasoline is available on the water at a marina.

In the winter, bring the ice auger out to catch lunkers through the ice. Snowmobilers have an extensive trail system that is easy to find. Cross country ski the trails at Silver Lake Park. Downhill ski or snowboard at Wilmot Ski Area, a five minute drive.

A Silver Lake Four Seasons Cottage is a newly renovated 4 bedroom (1 bedroom with a king bed, 2 bedrooms with queen beds, and a large bedroom with a queen bed & double bed & queen sleeper sofa with ample room for inflatable additional bedding) lake front year round home located on 75 feet of lake frontage on the west side of Silver lake. 3 full bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, cable TV, and high speed internet. The ez dock pier layout allows ample space to moor multiple boats and jet skis along with great off the pier fishing opportunities. 2 tandem kayaks and a 14 foot aluminum rowboat are available for use by our guests.

About Victor Slana

Steve and Jackie Slana purchased this property to allow vacationers to have an opportunity to enjoy Wisconsin lakefront living. We both enjoy various water activities along with creating memories with friends and families.

Why Victor Slana chose Silver Lake

We wanted a location within a reasonable drive of Chicago and Milwaukee. We feel "stay-cations" will become more popular with people trying to balance play and work.

Wonderful Cottage in Beautiful and Quiet Setting

Four of us recently stayed at the Silver Lake cottage while we were in the area visiting our son who is a college student at Carthage. The home is charming, clean and had everything that we needed. We were surprised how spacious the rooms were. Several more people could easily have stayed with us. Aside from the accommodations there are several attractions a short drive from the cottage. I am sure that we will return in future years.

great winter scrapbooking getaway

We came up from Illinois for a girls' scrapbooking weekend. There were 10 of us. This place is lovely! I want to come back in the summer. We had lots of room and the owners put up long tables in the large upstairs room with chairs for us to use so that we could leave all of our scrapbooking stuff out while we went in to Lake Geneva (15 minutes away) for dinner and drinks. The home is very clean and well decorated. We used the fireplace and had a movie night in also. Tons of fun, will make this a yearly adventure!

Look no further. This place was great. We enjoyed our week stay and had no problems. The house is nicely laid out plenty of room for our group. The backyard is perfect. Big and private. Great swimming beaches just a short walk away. Would stay here again!!

Great vacation home

Stayed here the first week of July. Very clean, spacious, well maintained. Enjoyed watching the fireworks right off the pier on the lake. We were here with our big family and this property had everything we were looking for and everyone was pleased. Would recommend and come back again ourselves.

Wonderful stay!

We stayed here for our Mom's-Get-Away weekend recently and had a wonderful time. The house is wonderfully decorated, updated and super clean and maintained. The listing states that it could sleep 10 but depending on your party it could probably sleep a couple more. It had everything you could possibly need and more! Down to the touch lights on the night stands! Superb linens and towels, any kitchen items you could possibly need, and plenty of privacy. The beach down the street is within easy walking distance and clean. If you can get past a mucky lake floor you can probably swim off the properties dock but we just chose to just go to the beach. (Being in the middle of a drought it was probably more shallow then it usually is.) While we did not go to any of the local restaurants, they are within walking distance as well. A prior review stated that the train was loud but we didn't think so at all. This place is a charmer and we are already looking forward to staying here next year. Thanks for having us!
