I fell in love with La Mision from day one. This community has the most picturesque views of all the communities along the northern Baja coast. Being in La Mision melts away all my stress from city living.
Its a beautiful, safe, community that is surrounded in an authentic nature setting, the full time residents are wonderful, and our dogs love the daily walks at the beach or through the estuary/river. We love the peacefulness yet closeness to all types of fun activities and fine dinning.
The stay in this house has been one of the best choices I have ever made. It was relaxing, fun and just a really great house to be in. I really didn't want to leave, I felt like I could live their for a long time. The house itself is perfect, its really spacious, really nicely decorated, the view it has is breathtaking and it really makes you feel like your on vacation. The pictures don't really demonstrate the actual greatness of the house you have to be their to see it. It is really great and I recommend it.
I have been going down to Rosarito area for at least 6 years, at least 2-3 times a year. I have rented a different house every time but have never rented the same one twice. I would rent this house again. Everything is just like in the pictures but better. The house was very comfortable. It had everything that you could need. I was there for 3 weeks in October and there was great weather and sunsets. Even when it rained a couple of days, there was the fireplace. The property manager, MexicoMike, was great. He has all the info you could ever need and is readily available. Thanks for a great 3 weeks Elsa.
Wonderful house with fantastic ocean, river and mountain views! House was very clean and comfortable, with a pleasant interior design/open floorplan. A short walk/ride to the beach. The beach is beautiful. The owner is easy to deal with, and our local care taker - Mike - was very helpful and lived in the area for 15 years so he was a great source of local info. My son and I had a great vacation and we will be back.
Best surfing in the area was K-58. Best restaurant for price and quality was actually the one that looks over K-58 beach - its the restaurant that is tied to the hotel. Awesome Ultralight flight rides (around $30 for 15 min) right on the beach. On the way back to the border we stopped at Calafia - unfortunately the old restaurant was closed up (went out of business 3 yrs ago); however, part of the the old restaurant was purchased by Al and his partner. We met Al and his young son and found them both to be very pleasant hosts. The food there was delicious and the jazz awesome. The view takes your breath away.

I rented the 2 units for a family of 12 and everybody enjoyed the stay. The internet speed is very good and general condition of house is aceptable. The beach is very close and there is a lot of space to use bikes. My mother used her wheelchair all around first unit.
This is my first visit to Mexico, and this was nothing short of spectacular. It is about a ten minute walk to a clean ocean beach shore, 5 minutes away from a federally protected bird estuary, and the negative ions from the sea and hilltops are refreshing for any writer seeking to finish a book or novella. I'm not a visual artist but the landscapes available to the naked eye are gorgeous if you value birdwatching. I understand that there are well over 30 varieties of birds. A horse ranch is close by and horseback riding is available on the weekends. I stayed at both the upper level and at the guest house downstairs. Will definitely plan to come back with a group to possibly rent out both units.
1. The listing description is accurate
2. The listing photos accurately reflect the appearance and amenities
3. The property was clean and well-maintained
4. The owner and manager were responsive to my requests and replied within the day
5. I would recommend this property to a friend if they are looking for privacy and a quiet retreat
6. Personal hotspots: the beachline, the bird estuary, sunset views, scenery from the balcony
Great house with a fantastic ocean, river and mountain views! A short walk to the beach. The house is very clean and comfortable, with pleasant interior design. The owner is very nice and easy to deal with, and local care taker (Mike) is very helpful and a wealth of local knowledge. We had a great vacation and will be back. Thank you, Elsie and Mike.
