Had a group of 10 senior boys on their spring break trip (plus the chaperone)
The layout was perfect with an open loft for getting together and playing video games.
Small but functional kitchen in a good location. ( Could use a bigger pot to cook spaghetti in but with all the good food in Chicago, we only cooked dinner once during our stay) Frasca Pizzeria was really good if you want something close, Dinklel's bakery is even closer.
Whole Foods is right next door, but we opted for the 15 minute walk North on Lincoln to Trader Joe's for our groceries.
The Paulina "L" station is only 7 minutes away and downtown is a 25 minute ride from there.
Chris couldn't be nicer to deal with.
This coach house is great for large, medium, or small groups. Do not hesitate to book - relatively easy parking with passes included, Whole Foods for stocking up the rental, or every variety of food imaginable within steps of the property. Chris was great and fair about everything - truly cares about people enjoying their Chicago experience.
I couldn't ask for more. Excellent value for the price, right next to a Whole Foods and numerous restaurants and bars. The place was clean and was more than enough space for me and my girlfriend. The owner was quick to respond and the place was very private (for being in the middle of Lakeview).
Our group included two families of 4 and it fit us nicely. The kids had the upstairs to themselves while the adults hung out downstairs. A couple issues were: the blinds let in a lot of light & it was so bad that it was blinding in the morning. Also, there wasn't a table for us to sit down and play cards or have a meal together. We made it work, & had a great time in Chicago!
Exactly as advertised! Clean, conveniently located, reasonably priced with room for a big group. We had a group of women in town for a baby shower. We were able to walk to a great restaurant, Frasca. We were able to pick up wonderful donuts for breakfast, Dinkels. We were able to hit a number of local bars in the area...too many to name :) Chris was very responsive when we had questions.
We spent a long weekend in September at this rental in Lakeview. Everything was as promised. The manager met us as soon as we arrived and the parking pass for our car was easy to use. The house is clean, very roomy with 2 baths, multiple beds and sleeping areas. and with two floors, the place offers a lot of privacy. The location is also convenient with a Whole Foods next door and Starbucks within a block and an easy walk to several nice restaurants. Lastly the neighborhood seemed very safe and the brown line of the train was within a couple of blocks. We would definitely stay again. Thanks!
