My condo is one of the units in "Lakeside Resort Casitas" a community located directly across El Lago Blvd. from Fountain Park in the center of Fountain Hills. My unit is in an excellent location within the community. It is in a private area and the view from the patio is lovely.
The unit is on the ground floor with no unit above. Most buildings around it are also one story. My unit is attached to another unit only on one side. It is very quiet. The unit faces east and south and is very bright even on a winter day. Half the patio is under roof and half of it is open.
The unit has a living room, dining room, and kitchen in one good-sized area. The living room is very light and contains the door to the patio. There is a fireplace, but we request it not be used by tenants (we don't use it either - potential fire hazard). The sofa is also a pull-out double bed. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher and disposal. An up and down clothes washer and dryer is located behind a wall at the end of the kitchen. Television is provided by cable and there is a DVD player and a CD/radio next to the TV. Wireless is provided.
The bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a TV across from it. The bathroom has a separate vanity area and plenty of storage. The bedroom has a sliding glass door opening to the patio.
The community has a beautiful swimming pool and hot tub which are both heated. There is also a Clubhouse with a pool table, library, and bridge tables. There is a complimentary weekday morning coffee and donuts, etc. in Jan, Feb, and Mar. Lakeside Resort Casitas has a very friendly atmosphere. Ample parking is provided with some spaces under cover. Landscaping is very attractive and well maintained. Downtown shopping is a very short distance away.
Fountain Hills
The town of Fountain Hills is located just east of Scottsdale and the Mayo Clinic. It is surrounded by majestic mountains, parks, and the Sonoran Desert. Attractive up-scale homes are built throughout its hills. There are spectacular mountain views from almost anywhere in Fountain Hills. Beautiful landscaping is everywhere.
The world famous fountain and lake in Fountain Park and the attractive retail area downtown are the focus of the town. Surrounding downtown are luxury townhouses and condominiums. Fountain Hills has a small town, friendly feel, but is only minutes to the famous shopping of Scottsdale. Fountain Hills has five golf courses within its limits as well as several community parks, which have a total of six lighted tennis courts. The Fort McDowell Casino is on the edge of town.
Just to the north of Fountain Hills is the McDowell Regional Park with wonderful hiking and mountain biking. Just to the west of town is the Fountain Hills McDowell Mountain Preserve (jointly owned with the City of Scottsdale) which has several hiking trails with great views.
