For over a decade, proprietors Gene and Elaine Blood have been welcoming travelers to Hill court Bed and Breakfast, with many of their guests returning summer after summer. One reason is Hill court's enviable location---it offers the quiet green lawns and trees of a residential neighborhood combined with walk-able access to the hustle and bustle of downtown. The guestroom itself (with private bath)is also amazingly private, sitting alone on the third floor and top floor of the sunny residence. Breakfast is another reason people return--fresh pastry, fruit, juices, cereal and coffee or tea all served either inside the cozy kitchen or on the house's beautiful covered deck. As Hill court's only guests on any given visit, you will feel like you are in a home away from home....one very near to all that Newport has to offer.
We feel in love with Newport 25 years ago while sailing. Moved down here 20 years ago and it has surpassed our expectations. Many great things to do and wonderful restaurants, shops, museums and activities. Something for all ages. Swimming, hiking, golfing, bicycling, fishing, are all at your fingertip.
Within walking distance to all Newport has to offer. Off street parking and quiet location.
We had such a nice stay thanks to Elaine and her husband. It was nice and quiet we had the whole third floor to ourselves and woke up to a nice breakfast. She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Definitly will recommend Hillcourt B and B to friends and stay again with them!
Elaine and Gene have a wonderful home in Newport that offers a great balance between feeling at home, and having privacy. We came and went as we pleased and enjoyed our moments chatting with them. The third floor room and bath are very secluded, and the outdoor patio is a charming place to have coffee or breakfast. My wife and I would definitely stay here again.
