Relax in the hot tub or on the front patio with your favorite drink and a book or for the more adventurous candidate try one of the many slopes in the winter time. Perfect for any time of the year, there is always something going on. Feel free to make yourself at home in the kitchen area while you cook your favorite meal then escape to bed in a private bedroom and let your guests entertain themselves in the den area. Less than 10 minutes from the top of the mountain this secluded lodging will have you returning for more! Not to mention we're only about an hour away from Lewisburg which was just recently voted #1 COOLEST SMALL TOWN IN AMERICA by YAHOO travel

About The Owner

Hello and thank you for visiting my listing. As an outdoorsman and avid skiier myself I fell in love with Pocahontas County right away. My family and I love the mild summers and snow filled winters here. The locals are warm and inviting and are always willing to help. They made my family and I feel welcome from day one.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2007
Why The Owner chose Snowshoe Mountain

With so much to do here, whats not to love about it? There is something for every generation to enjoy around the mountain.

What makes this condo unique

The privacy at Overlook condos is like no other lodging choice at Snowshoe. Close to rental shops and food establishments its the perfect place to stay. When the fun is done for the day there are no annoying groomers buzzing past your windows at 3:00a.m.!

As pictured: small but nice for two people, maybe two +kids. One bathroom off of kitchen would make it hard for 2 couples, however. Decor and fixtures not "upscale"/fancy, but nice and fitting with the ski culture. Loved loved loved the easy going aspect of it-minimal "to do list" at checkout and all cleaning fees included in rental, AND dog friendly! Always so hard to find a place that doesn't harass you about your (good) dogs! Owner was nice; stay highly recommended.

Only thing was it is a downstairs apartment so, you can hear upstairs neighbors walking around. Not intrusive and did not make stay unemployable, however, as the other review make it sound. Heck, you should be getting up early to ski anyway, right!

Thanks DB for letting us use your condo. We had a nice time. You were great to work with, and answered all my questions quickly. Everything was as described. Your place is clean, close to skiing and affordable, which is what we were looking for. We also got lucky and had fresh snow each day we were there. The only bummer is no internet and no cell phone coverage. We knew that going in, so we took advantage of your DVD player and had movie night in the evenings.

This was a good place to stay. It was very quiet and in a good location. The condo itself was very homy and had all the amenities it claimed to have. The hot tub was very nice. The only thing I would say would be an improvement would be to have internet. Thanks for the lovely stay, though. We really enjoyed ourselves!
