The title pretty much says it all, I have stayed at this cozy cottage several times and I have yet to be disappointed.
I've been going out to the Hampton's for many years, usually Montauk so when a friend told me about Hampton Bays and this cottage, I was a bit hesitant.
The beauty of it is it's location, I can drive out there from the city in about a hour and fifteen minutes whereas Montauk took me over two hours.
I also love the fact that it is close to South Hampton with all the shops and restaurants, not to mention Dune road & the ocean beach.
Back to the cottage, the pictures are accurate and the place was very clean, it's located down a long driveway on a large waterfront property, although there is a main house, it's a good distance away so you really have your own space. If you like to sun bath or swim like I do, you can walk right down to the waterfront so you don't have to deal with the crowded public beach or the fees they charge.
There's also a great breakfast and lunch place right down the road, I usually stop there in the morning, it's call the "Green Door". Dune road is 2 minutes away and there's a restaurant called"Oaklands" which has a happy hour and live bands on the weekend, reggae on Sunday was great.
The owner were very accommodating, when I couldn't figure out how to work the TV, they were right there to help.
I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for peaceful relaxing vacation close to all.
