We had a lovely stay at Inna's apartment in Culver City. The apt was nice and spacious, good location, central to most LA areas. All amenities were as pictured. Great service, and Inna immediately refunded our deposit. We would definitely stay here again.

Culver City... who knew?

My family and I were planning on traveling in, and around, California for a week in late October, 2014. First in the Yosemite Area and followed by a quick stay in Los Angeles.

We are new to VRBO and have only used it once before, but we had such a great first experience (unrelated trip), that we decided to try it again on this particular vacation.

Since we don't usually have much reason to visit L.A.. we weren't that familiar with some of the smaller enclaves in the greater metro area. We might as well have been throwing darts at a dartboard, primarily choosing by price and pics. We ended up deciding to take a chance on this particular property due to it's close proximatey to LAX, as we had to catch an early flight on the day of our departure.
First of all let me just say that Inna was an absolute pleasure to work with. We had some sticky issues come up at the most inopportune times, and she was always delightful and assured me not to worry; things would work themselves out. I'm glad SHE was confident, as I was in near panic as being in Yosemite Nat'l Park proved challenging for my phone to keep in communication with the outside world. Especially when it came to last minute communications.

Upon our arrival at the property, we took a few minutes to admire this cozy little flat. The neighborhood was quaint, multi-ethnic, and tidy; and It had a real sense of community. It was peppered with many small businesses, and local resaturants. I personally find these kind of neighborhoods both refreshing and adventurous, moving away from the humdrum bore of Suburbia and it's cookie cutter banality. If you are seeking that kind of experience, you have come to the wrong place! There are jogging trails, and small parks, located very close and we took to leaving our car parked in the secured safety of the apartment's gated garage, and opted for a pedestrian adventure whenever possible. Overall I would give this property a strong plus for value. Its close to Venice Beach, and Santa Monica Pier, as well as the aforementioned proximatey to LAX. All roughly 10 minutes away.

My husband & I stayed 8 nights at this condo on our first trip to LA. I chose this property for convenience as it is 2 miles from our daughters condo. We would have returned to this rental property frequently had it not been for our very bad experience with the Property Owner. The king size bed was very comfortable as well as the rest of the furniture. With only one AC unit located in the bedroom, keeping the rest of the unit cool was a struggle in October. While it initially appeared clean, the bottoms of my white socks turned black walking around the Apt that evening we arrived, indicating that the floors had not been mopped adequately. Since we would be spending most of our time either sightseeing or at my daughters, I decided the place would be manageable. I didn't complain about the one blown bathroom bulb, missing bulb in the fridge and the unclean floor. Once I arrive at rentals I don't want anyone invading my privacy unless it is maintenance issue. At the end of our stay, we left the rooms in order, cleaned our dishes, & emptied the trash. However, when we got back from our trip, I was appalled to find that the Owner had taken a third of my deposit, claiming that there was a missing bath rug! There was no bath rug when we arrived. When I pointed this out to the Owner, she engaged in an incredibly unprofessional email & Txt exchange in which she suggested that I may have dyed my hair & then threw out the rug. She forwards me the email from her cleaning lady who claimed that I must have thrown it in the trash "because she was 100% sure she washed it & put it back". (*Note that this cleaning lady also said no bulbs were blown or missing) Interestingly, when I asked the day before we flew to CA if the unit indeed had a hair dryer, the Owner indicated that a previous tenant had taken the hair dryer and she would have to buy one that day. I wonder why she didn't charge me for the mixing bowls, measuring cups & spoons. They were missing too when I arrived. We are not blind, there was NO bath rug, NO bulb in the fridge & there WAS a blown bulb in the bathroom upon our arrival. I have disputed the charges with my credit card company & I filed a formal complaint to the Homeaway CSR. Be sure to make YOUR complaints known the day you arrive if you choose to rent here. Though, I couldn't have complained about a missing bath rug as I didn't know it had a bath rug to start with. I'm surprised I wasn't charged for the basic items the kitchen was missing.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately for the tenant who ruined the bathroom rug and threw it in the trash can, my cleaning team keeps an eye on missing items. After I told her that the rug is missing and I need to charge her a replacement cost, she became very angry.
I forwarded her my communication with the cleaning team as well.
After that she started accusing me of not working lights and dirty floor. Since the renters who stayed after her didn't complain about any lights, I had to double check if lights are working in the bathroom, above stove and refrigerator; everything was working and her accusations was a lie. Above it all my cleaning team is very particular about cleanliness of each unit to the point that I ask all my tenants to address any maintenance issues within 24 hours of arrival to fix/clean if necessary. Didn't hear a word from until after I told her the rug is missing.
She complained to Homeaway as well demanding I return the money for the replacement cost of the rug she threw away in the building trash container. After Homeaway reviewed all the information provided by me and my cleaning team, they closed the case in my favor.
As you can see in reviews for all my properties, all my tenants are very happy with hospitality and every property. If you have any questions regarding any issues I'll be happy to answer them.

Great location, can walk to coffee shop, restaurants, and safe green boulevard one block away for dog walking. Loved gated assigned parking space. Pictures and description were accurate. And perfect price. Will def be back. Inna wasgreat to work with too!

Nice quiet area

The place was neat and tidy. In a quiet neighborhood. Spacious and nicely furnished. The covered and gated parking is a huge bonus, as the street parking is hard to come by. Would have been nice to have a little more kitchen equipment (blender and measuring cups). But aside from that, it was great. I highly recommend it.

Very beautiful and convenient apartment
