If you are looking for a tranquil place to relax with your own private beach, Casa Sirena is the place for you.
Casa Sirena is located in Lo de Maros about 45 minutes north of the Puerto Vallarta airport. It is a small, quiet, slow-paced traditional Mexican village without the tourism of the bigger towns. There are restaurants, a pharmacy, a clay oven bakery, and local markets that provide fresh fruits/vegetables/fish and seafood and much more.
Casa Sirena is located steps from the golden 1 mile beach and approximately 1/4 mile easy walk to town. We have a beautiful 2 story Mexican styled home that offers an unobstructed view of the ocean. From the palapa you can enjoy sunrises come over the tropical forest and unforgettable sunsets over the ocean. There are 5 spacious bedrooms (2 king, 2 double, 2 bunkbeds) each with their own bathroom/shower. Each room in the home has a ceiling fan and an air conditioner if needed and of course, the ocean breeze can be felt throughout the home.
The kitchen is open and fully equipped for your at home cooking. Enjoy inside dining or outside dining by the private pool.
If you are looking for more sites/shopping, San Francisco and Sayulita (known for its surfing) to the south and La Penita to the north are great places to check out.
Enjoy a walk on the beach, a walk along the rocks and see the tide pools, watch the local fishermen pull in their morning loads of fish, take a swim, boogie board in our protective cove or just lay back, relax, and watch the waves come in.
Words cannot describe the memories and time you will have at Casa Sirena.

Casa Sirena was a fantastic, spacious, private house for our extended family. We enjoyed being able to walk out the door right onto the beach. Even during Christmas week the beach was relatively uncrowded and completely relaxing. We were provided with plenty of water and the wi-fi was mostly reliable. The pool is nice but we barely used it because the ocean is just a few steps beyond. The surf can be big for swimming but the south end of the beach is generally more mellow and inviting. Lo de Marcos is a quiet town with Mexican tourists and Canadian snowbirds. The pace of life is slow in Lo de Marcos...if you want a party scene, go further south. If you want excellent late night taco stands and friendly, authentic shopkeepers, come here. We ate great lunches at the handful of beachside, palapa stands, drank fresh coconuts every day, and got to help release a couple of baby turtles into the ocean. A car was helpful for seeing the area and getting to experience San Pancho, Sayulita, and La Peñitas. We hope to return next year.
I have to say I was disappointed in Casa Sirena. Basics like water are not even provided. We had trouble getting the stove to work, and some of the rooms are nicer than others. Our room had mildewy pillows and the sheet didn't even fit the bed. There was no handbook giving information about the house or the town, and no WIFI! Can't say I would every stay there again.
Just spent an entire week at the house and it was wonderful. Everything you need is there, simply bring your food and drink. Relaxing and just what the doctor ordered. Into the gentle surf every day with the pelicans and other sea birds. The people in town are extremely friendly and helpful. I wanted to stay on, but the wife reminded me that we needed to return to work! Go experience for yourself.
We had a wonderful experience at Casa Sirena. The villa was beautiful and spacious and had all the amenties needed. The beach was quiet and serene with few vendors and enjoyed watching the whales playing in the ocean. The residents of Lo De Marcos were friendly and gracious. The village had restaurants to fit every taste bud and stores with fresh fruit, vegatables and groceries for the do it yourselfer. Looking forward to returning.
We had a wonderful time in Lo De Marcos. Casa Sirena was absolutely perfect. Sits right on the beach and a nice short walk into town. We had tons of space and a great kitchen to cook dinners. We definitely recommend Casa Sirena for anyone heading to Lo De Marcos and plan to return there some day.
