A great setting for a family reunion!
Our 2 families comprising 4 adults and 4 chilidren ages 4-8 enjoyed a lovely reunion exploring the spectacular beaches and nature in the area while staying at Borgo Lianti. We rented house 3 and 4.
The houses are new, clean, light, and beautifully designed. They are also air-conditoned, which was really nice in August when temps reach 40 degrees C. My family stayed in house 3, which was equipped with window screens against insects, and it was possible to air out the house after cooking without worrying about mosquitos coming in for the attack.
The bathroom in house 3 is on the small side, with little shelf space, but the beauty and simplicity of the design made up for it.
There is a gas stove in the kitchen, which we love. The auto ignition on the stove was not working, but loads of matches were provided and it was no trouble to light the stove that way. Everything you need to cook is provided in the kitchen. When we arrived, the kitchen was even stocked with home-made tomato sauce (made from tomatoes from Maria's garden), pasta, rice and a huge platter with fresh-picked veggies from the garden. Since we arrived rather late, we were really grateful we could improvise a meal without needing a trip to the supermarket.
We had all our meals on the terrace outside, along with our family in house 4. During our mealtimes we were surprised that we were not excessively bothered by bugs. We were, however, visited regularly by Maria's 2 very friendly, gentle dogs and their kitten friend. Playing with the pets was a highlight for our children.
On the grounds of Borgo Lianti there are loads of little things to discover and enjoy: hammocks under the shade of the trees, sunbeds and parasols, the vegetable garden, a really cool outdoor shower area built into the rocks, a little "treehouse" for the children, all the fun little details incorporated into the houses...
The location of the borgo is also really convenient. Though at first a bit tricky to find (if you stay there, try to arrive during daylight), its proximity to Palau and Santa Teresa di Gallura makes it a good starting point for all sorts of excursions. Recommended: Capo Testa, Maddalena Islands (take a boat from Palau) and if you're a fan of ancient history, the bronze age Nuraghi in Arzachena are fascinating.
The owner Maria is very welcoming and gracious and answered all our questions.
We will be back for sure!
Owner's Response: It is always a great pleasure to have enthusiastic guests who take advantage of all we offer to them and to their holidays!!!!!!!!
It is a great setting for those who want to use in group of families, allowing common spaces to be fully used or to have private and isolated corners if needed.
Th vegetable garden is full of surprise as the seasons pass by, with different types of choices and perfumes such as basil, persil, mint, dill, oregano, sage, marjoram, rosemary, thyme and others.
We try to improve anyones stay every year, after suggestions and ideas given.
But most of all we try to make our dreams come true for others to live them!
Welcome to Borgo Lianti!!!
