BEACH FRONT ELEGANCE....SANDPIPER SUITES WITH VIRTUAL TOUR !

We (family of four) stayed here for a week and it was superb. It is right on a lovely beach with a swimming pool abutting the sand. The unit itself has all modern appliances (washer/dryer, cable tv, free wi-fi (in fact the owners have provided a laptop to stay connected with family and friends at home and a cell phone for free calls back to Canada/USA), is spacious and feels like home. We had two young boys and having the upper floor meant we didn't have to worry about them wondering out to the pool/beach, it also had enough room for them to have their own 'space' from us. With two adjoining balconies facing the water it was wonderful to have our meals and watch the sun set. We rented a car for the week and explored the island as well, plenty of beaches, good food and sights to be seen. The location of the unit is great, groceries, pharmacy and restaurants all a short walk away. Just watch for the Simpson Bay bridge times as traffic can be an issue and try and avoid 4pm-6pm in the main centres if travelling by car. We used the cooler, umbrella and chairs at the unit and off we went with our lunch/refreshments for the day. Taking the chairs also means you don't pay for a chair at the beaches, unless you want a lounge chair, in which case it is $5 USD per chair and umbrella. If visiting Maho beach (where the planes land overhead and you see the jet blast as they take off) go between 4pm and 5.30pm as that is the busiest time. Jill at Sunshine properties was very helpful, meeting us at our car rental location and taking us to the unit. She was available for any questions we had, via phone or email. We would highly recommend this unit, it really is a home away from home. The cleaner came twice during our stay which was also great. We hope to return.
