Our Island Avenue home is newly renovated, its located on Matlacha (mat-la-chay). The Island is home to the historic fishing village and artist community. Paradise awaits you from the 'world's fishingest bridge' which is within walking distance of our home along with excellent restaurants, unique shops and art galleries. Matlacha resembles the old style Key West.

Our 2 Bedroom home offers a queen size bed and two twins, as well as a pull-out. The spacious open floor plan allows you to enjoy the large screened lanai, boat lift, outdoor furnishings, grill and large tropical heated swimming pool. Good company and breath taking views await you in Matlacha.

Our other home located six doors down on Island Ave is also available for lease.

Looking to go shelling or ride the waves at the beach? Fort Myers and Sanibell beaches are only 25 miles away.

Looking to Golf? Royal Tee Golf Course is within five minutes or choose one of the 55 courses within Lee County.

Description: Fishing in Matlacha is spectacular. Bring your boat, or you can hire a captains that will pick you up from our dock!

Matlacha is 35 minutes from Ft. Myers International Airport (RSW) 10 minutes from Cape Coral and 25 minutes from Ft Myers.

We invite you to come sit by the heated swimming pool and read a book, or watch the dolphins, and manatee play! We invite you to enjoy our bikes. Come to Matlacha!

We can honestly say that our two-month stay in this delightful house wasn't long enough. The views from our lanai--sparkling ,open waters, glorious sunsets, the antics of dolphins and fabulous water birds--were endlessly entertaining.

The house was roomy, comfortable, and carefully maintained by our hosts, Mac and Amy McLean. The pool was immaculate and fishing from our own dock was a great pleasure.

Pictures on the VRBO web site are good, but the real thing is better! We would love to return to Matlacha and this very special house next year.

We've just spent 2 months in the best house in Matlacha. Both the house and the location on the bay are exceptional. Mac and Amy, the local managers, are great and make you feel like it is your home. We'll never have another two months like this.

Amazing and relaxing! We had gorgeous sunsets and romantic dinners on the lanai! The weather and the home was perfect, it was the best, we're looking forward to returning to our favorite little island!

Matlacha is a magical place! This is truly old Florida. The people are all so friendly and the Island is unspoiled. The look out the back window to the pool and bay was breathtaking each morning. Dolphins swam by the dock 2 times a day. The fishing off the dock was excellent. The heated pool was enjoyed by all. Having Mac and Amy close by to answer all our questions was a big help. We can't wait to return to Matlacha.
