We were expecting a decent little studio. What we opened the door to was an expansive studio with wall to wall grand windows, an extra bedroom, TWO bathrooms (bath and half), and the most incredible views/sights/sounds I've ever experienced. And I've LIVED on an island before.
This place was so cool that I want to be first in line if Peter and his wife ever sell fractions or condo it out. Gorgeous and perfectly located for hiking(trail from beach), nature preserve (moloaa), farmers market(tues/sun), snorkeling the north bays, paddleboarding/surfing(did both), slack key guitar concert at the community center (old hawaii at its best), kapaa civilization only 15mins away (safeway, long drugs, etc).
And now the good part....sunrises thru the bedroom window, the ocean waves all night long, coffee down the steps and on the beach, complete privacy morning noon and night, the rooftop lanai for dinner, the rooftop lanai for stargazing (never SEEN so many stars!), the rooftop lanai for sunbathing, the rooftop lanai for anything you want if you stay below the 3 foot wall ! At Moloaa you can have a morning/evening swim on the right and left sides. It's centrally located to everything east/north shores...the funnest part of the island.
It was clean and neat. The property mgr stopped by to ask if all was good for us and he was a hoot and wealth of info. The ONLY con was the shower is handheld - but i understand that is going to offered with a wall clip soon also. We didn't mind at all. Owners left the kauai blue book which was a GREAT guide to us...Very helpful. Peter's email of directions also included many island contacts in his network that offered many things to do and see.
If I stay with this g/f, it will be hard to have a honeymoon that outdoes this dream vacation...but i'm certain it would start with Peter's place once again.
Thanks and cannot say enough good things about it. What a wonderful relaxing and mezmerizing time/place/week.
