Relax on the covered lanai or on the white sandy beach while you watch dolphins swim in the Gulf of Mexico and pelicans fly overhead when you stay in this tastefully furnished 2 BR condo.

You will enjoy ocean views from every room in this condo or you can choose to watch televison on one of the three television sets.

This condo is on the preferred south side of the building, which provides warmth during the cooler, winter months and protection during the hotter, summer months.

The Master BR includes a Queen bed with spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico and the white, sandy beaches of Marco Island. There is a spacious bathroom with a walk-in closet attached to the bedroom.

The Second BR includes a Queen bed, also with a gorgeous view of the Gulf. This BR has a huge 4-panel closet with plenty of room for your clothes and personal items. Located across the hall is a second bathroom with a tub and a shower.

The kitchen is fully equipped, including china, and has some initial basic staples, such as condiments and paper products.

We've been married for more than a quarter of a century & have 2 college-aged children. We have lived in the Chicagoland area all our lives.

Kevin is a Senior Lab Technician working at a high-energy physics laboratory and Linda is a 2012 Loyola graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Management with a certificate in Paralegal Studies.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2007

When we started looking for a beachfront condo we could rent out, we first looked in the Florida Keys. After a week of viewing properties, we headed back to the airport. It was then that we realized that any properties we saw in The Keys were too far away from the airports.

We started looking on the beaches on the Gulf of Mexico, from as far north as Clearwater to as far south as Marco Island. After chatting with a friend who has a rental in Southwest Florida, he asked if we checked out what the average temperatures were at each of our prospective beaches during the winter months. He said people would be more likely to get in the ocean and enjoy the vacation when it was 72 degrees vs. 67 degrees. This narrowed our search to the Naples/Bonita Beach area and south.

After viewing condos on the Naples’ beaches and the Bonita Springs’ beaches, we went to see properties on Marco Island. Once we drove over the SS Jolley Bridge onto Marco Island, we knew this was the place to be! Immediately, we felt more relaxed and at home, while entering Paradise and the beauty of the Island.

With another friend/realtor, we visited several properties and she helped us with local feedback as well. We were told that the complex, Sandcastle II, was one of the premier properties on the beach because of the size of the swimming pool and the grounds. This pool is the largest of the pools on the island, except for the resorts. The grounds are beautifully maintained with lush, green space around the building instead of having another building immediately outside of your window. The building to the immediate north (The Charter Club timeshare) is set back from the beach. The building to the immediate south (Sandcastle I) is located further away from Sandcastle II and thus, our building is able to take advantage of the green, lush areas between the two buildings.

The owners and other guests are very welcoming and friendly, which is not often found in other condos on Marco Island.

This condo has private, secure access to the beach.

This condo has a more direct view of the Gulf of Mexico than other listings in Sandcastle II that have wrap-around balconies.

This condo, with its south exposure, is quieter than other listings in Sandcastle II with a north exposure which are above the loading dock and the dumpster.

Also, across the street from the condo is The Marco Walk, which has a dine-in movie theatre, several restaurants, such as DaVinci’s, Nacho Mama’s, Cathy O’Clark’s Irish Pub, and Capt. Brien’s Fish House with Off-The-Hook Comedy Club. There are local shops in addition to national shops, like Chico’s. There are several nail boutiques and spas here too. There are coffee shops and ice cream shops as well.

There are many restaurants located on the beach you may walk to.

On Marco Island, there are several favorite past times. Two of most popular ones are the “Marco Stoop” (people stooped over looking for shells) and the morning beach exercise. There is a hard-packed path great for walkers or runners.

The condo also has access to covered parking spot #75 in the parking garage.

SUNSETS ON THE LANAI

We spent a month at this property and our only complaint is how quickly the time passed. The location is exactly as described; right on the beach and within walking distance to a number of restaurants, shops, etc. Marco Island is a walker's paradise with 6+/- miles of beach and extra-wide sidewalks on Collier Boulevard. The unit is fully equipped with lots of kitchen gadgets, plenty of bedding and towels and even beach chairs and an umbrella. Although there is a dining table inside, we ate every meal on the Lanai as we just could not get enough of the view. Communication with the owner was great and the only issue that did arise (a minor electrical problem) was looked after in an efficient manner. Unlike some condominium buildings, the owners we met at Sandcastle II were friendly and made us feel welcome. The administrative and maintenance staff were also pleasant and always greeted you with a smile. We plan on returning next year and I would gladly recommend this property to a friend or relative. We had great meals at both Verdi's and Fin Bistro (long walk or short drive), with the latter claiming to serve seafood no more than 36-hours out of the water - the scallops were incredible. One of our most enjoyable days was when we rented a boat from the marina (I forget the name) on Bald Eagle Drive and motored up to Naples on the inland waterway, saw all sorts of interesting sites and had lunch in 'Tin City' - great experience. If you do decide to stay on Marco Island, don't miss the outdoor market that is held on Elkcam Circle every Wednesday morning - the fresh fruit and vegtables are amazing.

MY PLACE IN PARADISE

This unit has the most spectacular view!!! The glistening and perfect pool and of course, the breathtaking Gulf are close enough to touch and you hear the beautiful sounds every moment. This was the best place to experience the genuine beauty of Marco and feel the Island experience. We will most certainly return many times to this great place!!

LOVELY CONDO IN MARCO ISLAND WITH AMAZING BEACH FRONT CHARM!

This condo is a beautifully furnished and decorated beach front property. I immediately felt at home and had every luxury at my fingertips. The condo was furnished and appointed beyond my expectations. The balcony was amazing with breathtaking views particularly at sunset. The beach was great and withing steps of the pool area which reminded me more of a resort than a condo association. The entire property was first class. The master bedroom & bathroom were enviable.....wish I had the bathroom in my home! Owners were very helpful and considerate. Will surely stay there again and hope to bring down some friends to stay as well!
