Embrace change and love to travel the world - especially getting out of a corporate-cookie-cutter-stuffy - hotel and meeting the real people that live wherever we happen to be. Eat dessert first- you never know what the afternoon will bring!! We get energy from relationships and friendships. People is what life is all about!!
The Owner purchased this house in 2004
White Bear Lake has the feeling of being in the North Woods, yet is close to the Mall of America and the MSP International airport is 20 minutes away- The best of all worlds.
This is a quiet cozy neighborhood, kid friendly. Kids can bring bikes and beach floaties. You'll feel at home, but don't need to do all those homeowner chores!!
Very well maintained and organized, photos of everything in drawers were was very helpful. The house is a perfect distance to the lake, just right for little children. The large tables inside and out were wonderful for extended family meals.
Very much enjoyed the house - perfect for our reunion and as a home base for a wedding a group of us were attending. Comfortable and good location.
Our daughter was married in Minneapolis in August and we were looking for a convenient place for our out of town brothers and sisters to stay. We were very happy to learn that this vacation rental property was available nearby our home instead of everyone having to stay in hotels. Seven adults of our family stayed in the 4 bedroom home and a total of 10 of us gathered there very comfortably. The patio, living room and family room all handled our group well. There are ample dishes, glasses and chairs for everyone. We had a bonfire and throughly enjoyed the area. The house was very clean and perfect for our group!
We stayed at this home on White Bear Lake for a week in August. Terri couldn't have been more helpful and informative. The property was in good condition and the lower level is recently remodeled with a kitchenette, laminate flooring and an additional bedroom. The neighborhood is quiet and is a short drive to anywhere you may want to visit in the Twin Cities. I was very satisfied with our stay and would recommend it to anyone.
The women in my family & I go on a girls weekend every year in this summer and this place fit our needs perfectly. It was close to Stillwater, many restaurants/bars (in walking distance) and had easy access to the lake. The owner Terri was very, very accomadating to any of our needs. You could tell she really wanted to make sure we had a good time while we were there. The house was very clean and organized when we arrived and had two living spaces for us to gather to chat and watch tv. The kitchen was a little small, but had everything that we needed. It was more than enough room for all 8 of us to gather.
We had a lovely time at the lake house, hosted many old friends with kids there (all who were charmed by our find), and enjoyed the lakeside pleasures with our 3 little ones all of the warm August days we stayed. Terri was a lovely hostess and was very responsive to our needs during our stay. We baked and cooked and enjoyed the well-furnished kitchen. The children enjoyed the natural lakefront with explorations in the grasses (required by law not to be pulled to keep the DNR and local ducks happy), sand castles in the sandy part of the beach, and some rowboat rides with parents. A long, shallow soft base allowed even the toddlers to safely play in the water. For a full-width classic sandy beach, we drove a short mile North to the Mahtomedi public beach, which was fabulous and quiet. We also had quick access to nice grocery stores, pharmacy and nice restaurants. Easy-in and out to get to downtown St. Paul activities. We had not done a VRBO before, but will definitely do this again and hope to return here next summer. Thanks, Terri!
