Conveniently located halfway between town and the beach (just over a mile), the house is steps from the NRTA (shuttle) route and bike trails which is convenient even if you bring a car since parking in town can be difficult to find. There's also a bicycle rental shop within walking distance. The house has a big family room perfect for relaxing by the flat screen tv or entertaining at the custom built bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large dining area. The back door leads to the deck with grill and outdoor shower. The living room offers a quiet place to read or serve as a play area for children. Master bedroom has a queen bed with large closet. In another room there’s a bunk bed with daybed and trundle. The third bedroom has a queen bed. You will find everything you need here including linens, a complete kitchen, washer/dryer, WIFI and even a basketball court on the premises. This house is also pet friendly.

Location, Convenience, Location!!! If you’re looking for a home that's close to everything the island has to offer, this is the place. Located mid island, the house is right between town and Surfside Beach. Its steps to the bike trails and the NRTA (Nantucket Regional Transportation Authority) www.ntrawave.com, which is the public shuttle that takes you anywhere where you want to go on the island. It runs every 15 minutes, every day from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m, May - Oct. The house is about a 15 minute walk to the school fields and shopping center (Stop & Shop, liquor store, fish market, etc.). It's also about an 8 minute walk to a large new playground. It's an easy bike ride or walk to the beach along the bike trail. For those big family or friendly reunion’s rent this house and the adjacent cape house (#163840 on this site for info). Both properties offer the ease of keeping everyone close together.

Notes:
This is a great family friendly house. There is a private basketball court on the premises. There is one basketball hoop and it's regulation height however, it is easily adjusted to a child's height with one touch. So kids or adults can enjoy playing! There are also games bats and balls, footballs, basketballs and beach games and toys.

Great House to Relax in and Enjoy Nantucket

We enjoyed our stay at the lovely Surfsider. It's perfectly located between town and Surfside Beach. If you don't mind a long stroll, both are within walking distance. The house was clean, inviting and comfortable. We traveled as 2 couples with a dog and had plenty of room. It's a great house for 2 small families to share, or one large family. The house is on a main road, but set back and screened with shrubs. There's a nice sized yard and a deck with grill. The kitchen has just about everything you need to stay in and cook (and has a dishwasher) and the Stop and Shop is just a bike ride away. Linens, bath towels and beach towels are provided, which is a plus when traveling. The only negative thing we encountered is after night 3 our backs hurt because the beds aren't too comfortable (which is pretty common for rentals). Overall, this was a great house to relax in and enjoy Nantucket.

Great Nantucket rental!

This rental was great for the group we went with! Perfect for families as there is a large backyard with private basketball court. One of the best features was the bike rental shop that was right across the street! The house is right in between town and Surfside beach, also very close to The Muse restaurant and a Stop & Shop. We had a great time and will definitely be renting again!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Pet-friendly, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities
