You can see the waterfront when arrive at the entrance of this special location in jeweled neighborhood - only 3 doors away from the Marina (hence the name). There is also a unique, spacious private garden where you can enjoy indoor/outdoor living if you like. No street noise whatsoever! Enjoy Golden Gate views at the corner. Take your coffee on the patio or stroll down to waterfront and contemplate the views of Golden Gate bridge. You may spot a seal or two bobbing in the surf! This light-filled space offers a unique advantage with its large private garden. The garden is as large as the indoor space and is unusual in this chic neighborhood. Walk along the waterfront promenade to Fisherman's Wharf and enjoy Ft Mason. One block a away, Ft. Mason offers the famous Greens waterfront restaurant, a farmer's market every Sunday and a yummy food truck neighborhood gathering every Friday night March - Sept. A little further along the shoreline and you are at Ghiradelli Square and Fsiherman's Wharf. Go the other direction to Palace of Fine Arts, and the beaches of GG bridge. No need for a car. Great taxi, bus access and even rental car services nearby.
You are 3 blocks away from many great restaurants and shops, wine bars, food markets (and I do mean GREAT Zagat rated) to distract you on Chestnut street. Lovely french doors open on to a lush, completely private garden with flowering trees. Light streams into this flat from garden windows all around. Garden patio adds wonderful character to the unit and almost as large as the unit itself. Apt is very private - no other homes or people in sight. Beautiful Mediterranean and Art Deco architecture all around. Queen bed with down comforter and lots of comfy pillows. There is room for a child to sleep as well on a twin pull out chair. Office area for work space too if needed- hopefully you are just having fun.
Easy parking nearby and additional free parking at the marina across street.

I am a long time SF resident and love my international city and helping others discover its beauty and nooks and crannies. This neighborhood is one of the few areas where you really don't need a car and everyone is safe strolling at all times.
The Owner purchased this condo in 2009
I love walking by the waterfront for sunsets and never tire of looking at the GG bridge. This is my favorite neighborhood with gorgeous views that everyone thinks of when they see pictures of San Francisco. Neighborhood has a fun vibe with lots of fabulous restaurants, wine bars and shops.
Unique and private garden setting. Beautiful architecture, quiet neighborhood with postcard-like vistas everywhere you look. First floor (so no stairs to climb either). Walking distance to main attractions or San Francisco.
Thanks for the stay at your VRBO unit this past week. We had a wonderful time in SF and the location could not been more ideal. Walking to the bay for sun rise & sun set were a real treat for us. On our last day we walked the Golden Gate Bridge.
We will always remember this stay and highly recommend to all we meet.
This was our second time staying at Laura's beautiful studio and it goes without saying that we just love everything about the accommodations. The location is ideal - just a few steps from fabulous views of the Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge and nearby to restaurants and shops on Chestnut Street. We were so happy to get away from the cold and snowy Northeast and visit with our son! The studio itself is very comfortable and well appointed for dining in (if you choose) and to enjoy the outdoor garden patio for morning coffee or evening grilling. Also very close to the Safeway for last minute groceries. Visit Fort Mason on Friday evenings for some great outdoor markets with great food and wine. Very easy to get around the city. One week is just not enough so we are already planning our return visit - Laura does a wonderful job of making you feel comfortable. Thank You so much Laura (and Bennie) for sharing your beautiful location with us.
We love this tastefully decorated studio. It is a peaceful, quiet, private oasis in the City. What a find !! Location is wonderful.............walk to all of the shops and restaurants and the Marina. Laura has thought of everything to make this a comfy home away from home. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Even though I live in the Bay Area, I needed an "escape" and some "me" time in the City. I chose to stay in Laura's beautiful, large studio rather than in a hotel or motel, as I wanted privacy, to be close to the Marina Green, GG Bridge, great Marina shops, restaurants and wine bars, and to take advantage of the beautiful garden patio adjacent to the studio. The ambiance of Laura's tastefully furnished and well stocked studio, combined with local Marina amenities and Laura's wonderful hospitality, was exactly the getaway I was looking for. I can't recommend it highly enough!
Loved having this cozy little flat in this neighborhood. It's like being in the suburbs of San Francisco but with all the benefits of the city nearby. The owner was very welcoming and kind; she even put her car on the street to hold us a space the night of our arrival, so we would have a spot in front of the apartment for our late arrival.
The apartment itself is very well appointed and comfy. Loved having the white noise machine by the bed; even though it was a quiet neighborhood, it was fun to fall asleep to the sound of waves or a babbling brook.
My only constructive criticism would be that it would be helpful to have a coffee grinder. We always take our own beans to our VRBO stays, and like having that first cup of fresh coffee before we hit the pavement. There was ground coffee provided, but for us coffee lovers, freshly ground is the only way to go.
One star off for that, otherwise a 5-star accommodation! Thanks Laura, you were terrific!
We stayed at the studio while visiting one of our kids who lives in the neighborhood. I can echo all previous comments that the studio is very clean, with comfortable furniture, well stocked kitchen, and beautiful patio. The main commercial street of the neighborhood, Chestnut Street, is about a 10 minute walk, all perfectly flat. There are many great restaurants and local coffeehouses, and the Sunday Farmer's Market at Fort Mason was fabulous, particularly for a New Englander in December.
My only very small comment that might help future renters is that the bed is in a corner against the wall, making it somewhat awkward for the "inside" person to get in and out at night.
Laura is very nice, and was available and helpful. I would definitely return to this lovely location, thank you!
My husband and I waited years for this trip, and wanted everything to be perfect. Laura's lovely, homey studio apartment was exactly what we had in mind. The location was extraordinary and the decor was simply and lovely. The apartment was super clean, well stocked and very roomy. No problems with wi-fi at all.
The secluded patio was my personal sanctuary and I only wish I'd had more time to spend there. You can barbeque, settle in to read, or just nap surrounded by flowering bushes and trees.
It was very fun to tell people where we were staying and how reasonable the price was. Hotels in the area simply couldn't compare with our location, the cost, the beauty and the fact that we could fix our own meals. There is a Safeway and Starbucks two blocks away; incredibly shopping and restaurants within six blocks, the bay and its wonderful walkways within half a block, and fantastic sites to visit within walking distance!
Laura met with us upon arrival, gave us great advice on restaurants and things to do, and was very friendly and kind. I believe she truly cared that we were happy and comfortable during our stay.
Laura, thank you for everything. We are so grateful for this experience.
