Tucked in the Northeast corner of Leelanau County in Northport is this delightful spot on West Grand Traverse Bay. A quiet spot on over one acre with 180' of sparkling, clear, blue beach. Sunrise views where Lake Michigan and West Bay meet. This rustic charming beach house offers 1700 sq ft and features 5 bedrooms and 2 baths. Sleeps 10 with 2 Kings, 1 Queen, 1 Full and 4 Twins. Enjoy great views from the interior of this home. Screened porch offers a great spot to start your day looking at the Bay over a hot cup of tea. Spacious living room/dining room with open kitchen and cathedral ceiling provides great opportunities for family time together. Kitchen is fully stocked. Washer & dryer. There is no A/C, but fans are provided. If it happens to get a little chilly, there is a wood burning fireplace. WIFI is included but there is no TV. Land line phone. An upright piano is provided for any players in your group to enjoy!
Outdoors offers plenty of room for play and an easy walk to the beach on a nice path to the water. Hammock, lounge chairs, charcoal grill and a firepit add to your outdoor comfort. Kayak and canoe rentals are easy to find in Northern Michigan.
One well-mannered dog is welcome. Linens are included. Sunday to Sunday for prime summer weeks.
This location is about a 40 minute drive to Traverse City. The village of Northport is less than 10 minutes away. You can pick up groceries, visit local gift shops, enjoy Barb's Bakery, stop in a coffee shop, or enjoy dinner at one of the great dining spots.
Hunt for Petoskey stones on Amazing Acadia Wood’s private beach, watch night skies for shooting stars, and enjoy the excellent swimming . There are dozens of wineries in Leelanau County, miles of hiking trails, festivals, fairs and so much more. Pay a visit to the Grand Traverse Lighthouse, Christmas Cove or Peterson Park which is a great place to view the sunset, BBQ, picnic or playground. 35 miles to Good Morning America’s Most Beautiful Place in America--Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. There is so much to enjoy in this great area!
