Mainstay has been a part of our family for four generations.
Our family compound is a labor of love, that started over 100 years ago with our grandmother's brothers and sisters. She came from a family of 10, and they all pitched in a built a family 'camp' where they would all gather together throughout the summer and enjoy each others company. Our great aunts made superb homecooked meals while the great uncles sat outside, swapping tall tales and laughing all afternoon.
The family camp called Sea Breezes no longer exists, but we honor their memory and share their love of this beautiful little piece of heaven.
Oak Point is perfectly situated on a point of land that looks out over Western Bay to Mt. Desert Island. The property is oriented south, so we enjoy lovely sunshine all day. There is a large granite outcropping on the shore which is called Table Rock, a well known shore landmark. The shore itself is endlessly fascinating to kids of all ages, and beachcombing and rock skipping are favorite activities
