SNOW SUMMIT CABIN WITH LOTS OF CHARM!

We found the house to be very clean and well-equipped. The house warmed up easily and we had plenty of hot water. The location is very convenient; 2 minutes from Snow Summit but too far to walk if you are carrying ski gear. It was a very enjoyable weekend.

The renting process was extremely quick and easy. The owner responded promptly to my inquiry and I had booked and payed for everything in about a day. He also answered all my questions in a professional and timely manner. In regards to the cabin itself, it is very easy to locate and off the main road that runs through town. It was also super close to Snow Summit which was a plus for us. The inside of the place seemed more spacious than in the pictures and there was plenty of space/beds for everyone. Everything was clean as well as the kitchen (they had a complete cookware set with enough glasses/cutlery for 6 people).

Other perks: Big flatscreen tv (though we didn't use it much), nice wood-burning fireplace, furniture that looked/felt like new, no strange odors, no bugs/critters, locking 2-car garage, fun backyard (careful! the path is icy/slippery, every single one of us slipped while trying to get back there.)

Best feature: the heater. It worked like magic.

We've been coming up to Big Bear each winter for 17 years now and I can honestly say this was the best time we've ever had. The house was inviting, clean, and located walking distance from Snow Summit.
The living area is large and still cozy. We had several friends with us and they were all amazed how pleasant the house was to spend time in. It's very close to stores and snow parks. We didn't go down to the lake but its' very close as well.
We had an awesome weekend, we want to go back already.
