BEST LOCATION!! APARTMENT IN PALERMO SOHO, BUENOS AIRES, TANGO

My husband and I stayed in this apartment for a week in November 2012. We really liked some things about the apartment, but other things we definitely did not like.

Hugo was easy to work with and the apartment is located in a nice neighborhood. I enjoyed the large balcony, which had a nice view and there were good restaurants nearby.

Although the location is good, there were several things about the apartment that I did not like. I was very disappointed in the way the apartment looked when I entered it. In the pictures it looks fairly nice, maybe because of the wooden floors. However, in reality, the apartment is not furnished nicely at all. It is sparsely furnished and the furniture looks cheap and unattractive. The couch or daybed in the living room is worn, old looking, and it is not comfortable to sit on. Nor did I really want to sit on it. The chairs in the living room are covered with unattractive black plastic, also not inviting to sit on. There were no plants on the tables as in the picture and no decorative pillows on the couch. I felt that there was no effort to decorate the room or make it look nice. When I'm on vacation, I want to stay in a pleasant environment. The living room and dining area in this apartment were not very pleasant.

The second problem with this apartment is that there was major construction going on in the building attached to the apartment. Starting at 7:30am every day until 5:00pm, including Saturday, there was unbelievably loud drilling, sawing, banging, yelling – a lot of noise. Hugo didn't bother to tell us about it, which I felt was not ethical. We rented it in good faith and I think he should have told us about it in good faith. That was very upsetting. When you are on vacation, you don't want to stay next to a construction site.

So these were two major problems I had with the apartment – unattractive furnishings and loud construction noise.

This apartment is in a nice neighborhood and has a great balcony with a nice view. If Hugo could see fit to decorate it properly, it would be worth renting, but not as it is, in my opinion.
