Why Susan chose Burnsville

In 1971 my grandmother bought this house in order to be close to her college sweetheart. The house has been passed down to my mother and then to me. I hope someday to pass it on to my daughter.

Perfect girls' weekend getaway!

Perfect girls' weekend getaway!
  • 5 of 5
The Robertson House was THE perfect place to stay to celebrate a girls' weekend. The house was beautifully decorated with doors and windows that opened up to let in the late Spring mountain breeze. We loved feeling as if we were in a private setting in a lovely mountain valley while at the same time being only a few steps away from downtown. It was great for a mixture of fun and relaxation. We enjoyed exploring the shops and also had a blast going across the road in the evening for drinks at the sports bar. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed, from dishes to ROKU to cozy linens. We were just so comfortable and grateful for this open, pleasant house and our wonderful stay here. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in NC!

Dr. Robertson House

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I, and our three daughters, stayed in the Robertson House during a recent visit to Burnsville NC. What a gem! A block away from the town square, you can easily walk to local restaurants. House was built in the 1890s, but has been recently renovated with modern features where important: kitchen, HVAC, internet, etc.. Highly recommend!

Amazing Getaway!

  • 5 of 5
We had a very relaxing stay at the Robertson House. We arrived to an impeccably clean and impressive home. It is a historic home that has been completely renovated with modern conveniences. The beds and furniture were very comfortable and inviting. The owners were very easy to work with and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The house is just steps away from downtown Burnsville. We enjoyed the snow while we were there and returning back to a warm and cozy house! We highly recommend a visit to the Robertson house. You will not be disappointed. We plan to be back in the Summer! Thanks again Susan and Sylvia for an awesome weekend!

The Robertson House, Burnsville, NC

  • 5 of 5
We enjoyed our stay at the Robertson House very much. We found the home very clean and welcoming. The renovations to the house have been done in good taste. We enjoyed the swing on the front porch, the private location, yet nearby downtown Burnsville where we enjoyed walks and a couple of great meals at nearby restaurants. We also appreciate how helpful the owner was with answers to our questions.

Perfect stay

  • 5 of 5
The house was wonderful in every way: Lots of unique character with old wooden frames and floors, antique furniture and -best of all- a great porch with a swing (you really should add a picture of it to the listing photos) and all the modern amenities (new bathrooms and a perfect kitchen) to make the stay comfortable.
Susan - thanks a lot for the list with hiking trails (we did two and they were beautiful) and for the idea of going to the Altapass Orchard for apple picking and live music. We had the greatest Sunday afternoon at the orchard.
Burnsville is a cute little town with nice restaurants and even a great farmer's market - so I would recommend a stay at the house to everybody.
Thank you, Susan, for this perfect weekend. We definetly will be back!
