Manuel Antonio National Park is home to at least 364 species of mammals, reptiles, birds, insects, and marine life, as well as numerous species of flora and fauna. The Ocean Club is located only minutes from the famous beach town of Manuel Antonio National Park and only minutes south of the world-famous fishing port of Quepos. The Ocean Club resides right in the heart of one of the richest ecosystems in the world!

Adventure & Sport:

Surfing Classes

Learn to surf like a pro, even if you have never surfed before! Surf classes are taught by Quepos locals, who know the waves and want you to master the fun of surfing as quickly as possible. Local Costa Rica beaches offer varying sizes of waves perfect for beginners or even for challenging the pros at the many Manuel Antonio surf tournaments held throughout the year. Classes include transportation, surfboards, guide, surf jersey, fruit, and drinks. We recommend you wear your swimsuit and take sunscreen, towel, camera, and dry clothes.

Scuba Diving

Certified divers or adventure seeking beginners will enjoy excursions to the rock formation and reefs off the shoreline of Manuel Antonio National Park. Professional bilingual PADI-certified dive masters give you proper instruction as they lead you through the marvels of the undersea world while diving in Costa Rica. Safety is emphasized and proper equipment is supplied, including children's gear. Discover Diving beginner classes are offered, as well as renewal sessions for those whose certification has expired. Your dive trip includes transportation, dive equipment, guide, drinks, and snacks. We recommend a bathing suit, sunscreen, towel, waterproof camera, and dry clothes.

Canopy Zipline Tours

The Canopy Safari Company takes you to a spectacular river to start your Costa Rica Canopy Zipline tour. Waterfalls and streams provide the backdrop for 17 platforms carefully built in the canopy of the Rain Forest. Zip from platform to platform, as well as experience the thrill of repelling and the famous Tarzan swing. Your tour includes transportation, breakfast or lunch, snacks, trained bilingual guide, all harness equipment and a visit to their butterfly and reptile exhibits. We recommend tennis shoes, short or long pants, repellent, and a camera. Physical Demand: Moderate/Age Restrictions. Tour duration, including transportation, is approximately 5 hours.

The Titi Canopy Tour takes you through both Primary and Secondary forest, where you can enjoy different types of animals, birds, insects, and plants. Their 14 canopy platforms located just 15 minutes from the hotel are perfect for those that want a shorter tour duration. Transportation, guides and snacks are included. We recommend hiking boots or tennis shoes, short or long pants, repellent, and camera. Physical Demand: Moderate/Age Restrictions. Tour duration is about 2.5 hours.

Ask us about the newest Canopy Zipline Tour in the area, Midworld Tours! Incredibly fast ziplines, repel lines, Tarzan rope, puzzle lines and don’t forget to ask to include the Superman Line! Literally fly headfirst at 50kmp for over one kilometer, just like Superman! This is an adventure no one will soon forget!

Whitewater Rafting

Experience some of the best white water rafting in the world. Costa Rica's wild and untamed rivers plunge through beautiful and largely untamed tropical wilderness. Enjoy our local tropical rivers, whether you are an expert or beginner, nature lover or thrill seeker, this expedition is just what the doctor ordered for those seeking a Costa Rica whitewater rafting adventure.

The Class III/IV Half Day challenge is for more experienced paddlers and adventurers. The Naranjo River drops steeply from the mountains above Quepos, though a beautiful jungle gorge and takes you on a wild ride to sea level passing nearby farmlands and palm plantations. Rafters should be physically fit and ready for adventure.

The Class II/III Full Day adventure includes a journey into the very remote back country of the Savegre River for a 4 hour guided rafting trip. There are great swimming holes and a large variety of birds. Lunch is provided.

Includes transportation, guide, snacks and beverages, as well as all equipment. We recommend that you bring suntan lotion, bathing suit, waterproof camera, appropriate footwear, and towel. Physical Demand: Moderate / challenging. Age restrictions.

Mountain Biking

A wide variety of tours are available to accommodate almost any level experience or physical condition. These exciting tours take you through the rain forest, farms and beaches over even and uneven terrain. A great way to see a variety of local wildlife, depending on the area you visit, many of these Costa Rica mountain biking tours include time to rest and swim in the crystal clear waters of a beautiful waterfall. Some of the tours take you to rural 'Tico style' homes or typical “Ranchos” where delicious home cooked meals are served to restore your energy. All tours include lightweight aluminum specialized Marin and GT bicycles equipped with front Rock Shox suspension and Shimano components and helmets. We suggest that you bring tennis shoes, short or long pants, repellent, camera, bathing suit and a towel. Tours include water, sports drink, equipment, snack, and possibly lunch.

Kayaking Trips

The Open Ocean Paddle is a more challenging kayak excursion along Costa Rica’s most beautiful Manuel Antonio coastline. See nesting sites for endangered boobies and frigate birds as you paddle by nearby islands. Swim and have snacks in an isolated bay. Transportation, bilingual guide, fruits, snacks, beverages, and lunch at the end of the trip are included with the tour. We suggest that you bring suntan lotion, hat/visor, sunglasses, bathing suit, waterproof camera, and beach towel. Single and double kayaks are available. Physical Demand: Challenging.

Damas Island Kayaking in Costa Rica takes you through protected inland waterways. This is a great way to explore coastal mangrove areas and see native wildlife. View many different birds, mammals, reptiles, and see the mangroves close-up. One of our most popular eco-tours. Physical Demand: Moderate.

Jet Ski Tours

This fun tour is perfect for the adventurist that isn't content to sit on a boat with the rest of the crowd. If you seek excitement, this is the perfect way to explore the shores of the Manuel Antonio and Quepos area. Spend approximately 2 hours touring the offshore islands enjoying sightings of the rare and endangered marine birds while looking for dolphins, and the occasional passing whale or giant marine turtle. Stop to visit beautiful secluded white sand beaches of Costa Rica where you can swim, snorkel, or just enjoy the sun and scenery. Single or double bikes are available. Tour includes transportation, bilingual guide, life vest, drinks, snacks, and snorkel equipment. We recommend you wear your bathing suit, use sunscreen, and take a towel and waterproof camera. Physical Demand: None.

Snorkel & Dolphin Watch

Travel along the scenic coast, navigating past the beautiful beaches and islands of Manuel Antonio National Park, aboard large comfortable catamarans, sail boats, or tour boats. You will most commonly see dolphins, which frequently swim in the boat's bow wake. Occasionally Costa Rica migrating whales and giant sea turtles are also sighted on this tour. Snacks, drinks, and lunch or dinner are included. We recommend bringing along suntan lotion, bathing suit, hat, sunglasses, beach towel, and camera. This excursion will last about 4 to 5 hours. Physical Demand: None.

Why John Dobles - General Manager chose Manuel Antonio

We are lucky to have walking access to the marvelous Biezans Beach located in protected cove by the same name. There you may still find a remnant Volcanic Reef that is still home for a plethora of colorful fishes. Kayaks and snorkel masks are available for rent.

One of the main attractions in our area is the splendid Manuel Antonio National Park and beaches. The park is home to it´s principal inhabitants which are primary forest, secondary forest, mangrove swamps, lagoons and beach vegetation. There is quite a varied fauna with 109 species of mammals and 184 of birds. The park includes 12 little isles just off the coast; these often visited by a number of dolphins and, at times, migrating whales can be observed.

Visiting the park, one is treated to an abundant diversity of wildlife. Cathedral Point, with its forest topped cliffs was once an island, but is now connected to the coast by a thin strip of island. This land bridge now forms the spine separating the parks two most popular beaches, Playa Espadilla Sur and Playa Manuel Antonio. The southern facing beach, Playa Manuel Antonio, is a picturesque half mile long, white sand crescent bisecting deep green foliage to one side and a private, secluded cove to the other.

Our condos are only a stone's throw away, walking via jungle trail to one of Manuel Antonio’s most popular white sand coves, Beisanz Beach.
