6 BEDROOM HEIRLOOM ORCHARD HOUSE NEAR THE SHORE AND WOODS.

Bar Harbor House Rental Photos and Description

6 bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms, Sleeps 12

A bright, airy, spacious house perfect for families and friends, set in an old orchard on a quiet private lane close to the seashore in quiet and beautiful little Hulls Cove, just 3 miles from Downtown Bar Harbor.

One and a half peaceful acres graced by historic apple trees, fragrant white pines and crisp salt air. Welcome the day’s sunrises from all the upstairs bedroom windows or with breakfast on the big grand piano shaped deck. Stroll down to the shore and discover bleached mussel shells, perfect little ringed rocks a seagull feather, a bright gem of sea glass.

Neighboring Acadia National Park’s scenic carriage roads are perfect for walking biking and horseback riding, its breathtaking mountain trails for energetic hikes and its lovely lakes for swimming and canoeing. Bustling downtown Bar Harbor shops and restaurants are only a few minutes drive away. The free Island Explorer Shuttle bus stops in Hulls Cove and will take you into town and all over the island.

Situated in historic Hulls Cove; a quiet and beautiful little cove just 3 miles from downtown Bar Harbor where the sun rises over the water and the Porcupine islands, and each morning the sky and sea delight the eye. Some days the islands are draped in fog and the water looks like silver. Other days the water sparkles like diamonds with countless shades of blue. It is ever changing and always breathtaking.

This is our first season to welcome guests to the Orchard House so of course we don't have any reviews yet but we have had 3 absolutely wonderful years welcoming guests to our 7 bedroom Cider House Farm which is just up the lane:

We hope you will take a moment to read the reviews of Cider House farm and hope that by the end of this season the Orchard House will have some really nice reviews also.

The Orchard House began as a small photographers cottage down on the shore in Hulls Cove some time around the early 1900's. At a later date the cottage was moved up to the orchard. It escaped the Great Fire of Bar Harbor in 1947 but burned to the ground exactly 50 years later in 1997. We rebuilt the house, but a good deal bigger this time because our family was growing. Now the time has come for yet another change to this house's story. We are looking forward to welcoming guests to the Ochard House and for them to enjoy the house and its surroundings and to become part of its story too.

Guestbook comments from the owner

It was so wonderful and memorable times at your house. Everyone told me that it was the best vacation house they have been. You and your son are so kind and had helped whatever we asked. Pictures in your house are full of artistic. Your garden is so romantic. We really enjoyed so much there since your house and your kindness.
