Spring is a wonderful time to visit La Boussole in Sea Ranch…see the great whales migrating and the harbor seals pupping, also see the Whale & Jazz Festival: http://gualalaarts.org/Festivals/2013WhaleJazz.html.

*****Welcome to La Boussole. The home is located in one of the best ocean side sections of Sea Ranch with direct views of breaking waves. The location is approx 100ft/30m to the beach and is a 5 minute walk to the Ohlson Rec Center with Pool/Recreation. Enjoy direct access to miles of hiking trails, tidal pools, abalone diving and watching of wild and wonderful sea life. Golf, tennis and swimming are available as part of the Sea Ranch amenities. The town of Gualala is a couple of minutes away and throughout the region, you can enjoy local wineries, art galleries, and fabulous sightseeing.

The home is very private with two buildings connected by a secluded inner courtyard protected from the winds. Enjoy the jacuzzi, BBQ and lounging areas in the courtyard. The main building houses the bedrooms/baths, living room and kitchen. The second building is a cottage/studio with a grand media room, bathroom and a second floor loft area that can be used as a separate office or sleeping area with views of the ocean. The home is warm with floor to ceiling redwood in the main rooms and a large beautiful stone fireplace. The home has been updated with new appliances, electronics and wireless internet to provide convenience and connection. Though connected, the home retains its intent to appreciate and respect the natural coastal surroundings with open rooms, quiet lounging areas and large view windows. The lot is surrounded by commons on 3 sides providing much privacy and nice views. The home has recently been stocked with new high end cooking ware and linens that are available to you. It is bright, clean, comfortable and very welcoming.

There are many ways to appreciate the sights, sounds and smells of the Pacific Coast in this Sea Ranch home. The Sea Ranch community is special and allows one to live calmly and respectfully amongst the natural coast and wildlife. We invite you and your family and friends to share our home.

We enjoyed our stay. Enough room for couples to have their privacy. Appreciated the 3 1/2 bath. The location was great for taking walks. Could not have asked for better weather that weekend. The protected courtyard was used a lot. Great sound system.
Only suggestion I have is to get a better coffe pot that does not leak. A toaster would have been nice also and an ice cream scooper. I would recommend this house to my friends. A beautiful spot.

great house, but not well maintained

no ice maker, hot tub was freezing, all night lights were burned out, toaster oven would not shut off, coffee maker exploded all over the kitchen, no landscape maintenance in the courtyard

Wonderful Family Vacation Home

We had a great two night stay at La Boussole! The home is very comfortable and nicely furnished. Plenty of space for a large family vacation, and for little kids too! We loved the location....close to a very relaxing, beautiful trail to the beach where we saw lots of lazing seals. The kitchen had everything one would need to cook a nice meal, and bake, for those times when going out wasn't appealing. We enjoyed the courtyard and jacuzzi even during the cooler weather we had during our visit. Overall a very relaxing, fun getaway with our family! We hope to be back soon!

Simply wonderful

My family and I had a relaxing time at this beautiful home. Everyone was well accommodated and extra comfortable. The studio with it's second story alcove provided a great place for our two grandchildren to sleep. The ocean views were gorgeous. We were fortunate to have beautiful sunny weather for our entire visit. And the bluff trail was just across the street, enabling us to wander aimlessly through out the Sea Ranch.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

The house was perfect for us! We had two adults, a toddler, grandma, & our dog... Plenty of room! The extra building/media room would be great for older kids, as the staircase & loft was a little tricky for the little one :)
Hot tub was fab, the views were amazing, and the walks to the beach were super fun! Thanks!!!!
