This second story, two bedroom, one bath apartment in the heart of Los Angeles, is your home away from home. One of four units in a Spanish style residential building.

This residence is in walking distance to CBS Studios, the Los Angeles Farmer's Market and The Grove Mall (home to NBC's “Extra!”).

Warm wood floors, crown molding, lots of windows with contemporary roman shades, and picture windows with floor to ceiling silk curtains, accent every room of this home. The Master bedroom has a king-size bed, down duvet, a walk-in closet and a large flat-screen television.

The second bedroom includes two twin beds, also with down duvets, a writing desk and a closet with built-in shelves. The bathroom has recently been remodeled.

This apartment is perfect for entertaining! The large living room has contemporary furnishings including textured linen couches and chairs, a large flat-screen television with surround sound and a complete bar with granite countertops, bar stools, sink, wine cooler and plenty of stemware. The living room is lit beautifully in the evening with sconces and ceiling pocket lights; and during the day with an impressive arched picture window looking out to the tree lined street.

The separate dining room is adjacent to the living room and fully visible through the large archway. A large rectangular wood dining table seats six comfortably in high back ultra suede dining chairs. Off the dining room is the kitchen, with granite countertops, cream painted wood cabinetry and stainless steel appliances, including a gas stove/oven, built in microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and countertop blender, toaster and coffee maker.

The second door off the kitchen leads to the hallway with the bathroom, bedrooms and the laundry room. The laundry room has a stacked washer/dryer. A door off the laundry room takes you down to a grassy, landscaped backyard, with seating and fire pit. One car parking space is available for your use next door at 335 No. Orange Grove, #4.

Many of LA's trendiest designer shops, bars, and cafes line Beverly Boulevard, 3rd Street and Melrose and are in walking distance or a short drive away. Nearby restaurants and clubs made famous by their celebrity chef's/owners include Suzanne Goin's Lucques, Mario Batali's Pizzeria Mozza and Rande Gerber's Stone Rose Lounge at the Hotel Sofitel, just to name a few.

AFFORDABLE OPTION IN LA

My family of ten rented Orange Grove 2 & 3 for three nights while in LA. The apartments were well designed making you forget that they have been around for a while! The shower area in the bathroom had no light which took getting used to but we greatly appreciated the wall heater in the bathroom, especially in the mornings. Towels supplied were plentiful. The apartments are located within walking distance to the Farmers Market, and we could walk to Hertz in 15 mins. The bagels place at the start of the street was great. We had a couple of issues during the reservation process as the agent wasn't very clear which apartments were in the same building (we wanted two apartments in the same building but she had booked us in separate ones). Check-in process was quick and easy however a problem reported during check-in (light not working) was only rectified the morning we checked out. Overall, a good option in LA if you don't want to pay $200 a night to stay at a hotel. Tip: if you prefer not to lug your luggage up a flight of stairs, get the apartment on the ground floor.
