Pine Island is an authentic old Florida island. Not a beach or tourist area but a quaint, mostly undeveloped boating community. An angler’s paradise. You’ll have a hard time choosing which of the easy day trips to take by water-taxi or car. Experience all of the beaches and activities the surrounding area offers. Then come home to Pine Island!

Everyone knows the winters here are perfect. We love summers too where you'll practically have the beaches to yourself with the best water temperatures for swimming and snorkeling.

Ft. Myers Beach has sugary white beaches, sand volleyball, miles of unique shops and nightlife for all ages. You'll definitely want to pack up our lawn chairs, cooler, sand buckets and beach towels and spend the whole day shelling and relaxing on Sanibel Island.

Want to really get away? Our home is 5 minutes to the ferry that will take you from Pine Island to Cayo Costa. This undeveloped island has seven miles of secluded white sand beaches. Pack a picnic because there are no stores, restaurants or even electricity on Cayo Costa. What does it have? Swimming, shelling, dolphins, manatees, osprey, egrets, pelicans, magnificent frigate birds, bald eagles and much more.

The FISHING off Pine Island is some of the best in the world year round. If you don't have a boat, take our lawn chairs and cooler and fish off the bridge or island piers. Everything in the gulf swims under the bridge. Shark, snook, red snapper and mullet are common catches. Pine Island has island-inspired art galleries and shops and incredible meals at relaxed, waterfront restaurants.

This sunny stilt duplex vacation home has a queen bed and two twin beds. Extra air mattresses and linens are available for larger families. Limit of 4 adults. Fully equipped kitchen, washer & dryer and BBQ grill.

Great spot for a relaxing get away

We thouroughly enjoyed our stay at Wilson house. Clean, cute, comfortable - everything we needed was there. Close enough to enjoy Fort Myers and all the touristy stuff, but far enough away to feel away from it all.

Charming Getaway on Quiet Pine Island

The Wilson House on Pine Island is an excellent place for a quiet getaway! It was just my husband and me on this trip, but we would definitely return with our kids. It's an excellent property with everything you need - from the kitchen, to the bedrooms and the outdoors. We traveled with our 21 foot flats boat which fit perfectly along the side of the house. The water hookup was close for us to attach our hose to and the downstairs storage room made keeping our gear secure very easy. Several boat ramps are within a few miles (we chose to use Pineland Marina).

The accommodations are perfect, with comfortable beds and everything you'd need for a great stay. The kitchen is well equipped and there wasn't one thing we were missing. I would highly recommend a stay at the Wilson House for a couple, a family or anyone looking for a nice place to get away. Also, the owners are super accommodating and very friendly and that makes a big difference as well.

We'll definitely be back and are already trying to plan out our next trip!

Really enjoyed my two months in Florida at Wilson House. The cute duplex is decorated in a fun "Key West" (or Matlacha) style with fun accents everwhere. Clean and comfortable and everything you need to enjoy a short or extended stay. Pine Island is quiet and peaceful, but Ft. Myers is only a short ride away with lots of fun things to do. (Took in Jersey Boys at Edison College). Had fun with girlfriends the first month, then my husband came and had more fun enjoying the great surrounding cities: Cape Coral. Ft. Myers/Bonita/Naples. Nearby islands are wonderful too Sanibel-Ding Darling Bird Sanctuary was fantastic. So glad we found this hidden gem on Pine Island. Our new home away from home.

This house was fun and clean and comfortable. We knew we were on vacation the second we walked in the door. We rode the bicycles, played the board games, watched the videos and the guitar that we found at the house. Pine Island is a friendly and relaxed island that helped us take a break from our regular life and enjoy our family. We have favorite casual restaurants and beaches now. We told the owners to keep a week open in March for us for years.

The property was clean, and offered very interesting use of wall murals, also the feeling of being on the beach, giving you a relaxed warm desire to be there. We found the location to be close to many public attractions, like community pool, tennis courts, and and very nice small town library. There were stores (grocery, pharmacy, and resturants), very close, one we highly recommend for breakfast, and lunch (Raymary's), five miles north.
We would highly recommend this place, and we found the owners to be very helpful, and did their best to make our vacation rental, (Their Home), a great experience.
