We are only a family of 3, but we have always wanted to stay in a vacation home with a private pool. This home did not disappoint! The house was very roomy and clean. There are 4 bedrooms: 1 very large room with a king bed and private bath, 1 room with a queen bed, and 2 rooms with 2 twin beds. We only used two of the bedrooms. There are also two large common areas to spread out and relax. We ended up hanging out primarily in the family room, but the living room was also very comfortable. It would be perfect for a larger family where one group can watch TV in the family room and another group in the living room. The kitchen had everything that we needed to cook our morning breakfasts and a couple of dinners. Between the dining table and the breakfast bar there is plenty of seating for everyone.
The private pool was wonderful. We were there over Christmas and the pool heat worked brilliantly. I was worried that it wasn't going to warm the pool enough for outside temperatures in the 50's - 60's but we kept the thermal pool blanket on when we were not using it and the pool temperature was warmer than the pool at the Disney resort we stayed at the next week. I just wish the outside temperatures were warmer so we could have enjoyed the patio area more. It was just as nice in person as in the photos!
The house has an excellent location. It is less than 10 minutes Disney's purple gates, a Publix grocery store, a Target and dozens of restaurants. The neighborhood is a mix of rental properties and permanent residents. I felt very safe even when we returned to our home after midnight. I am a Disney Devotee and was worried about staying "off site" during the busy Christmas season but my worries were unfounded. We drove to the parks early with light traffic and come back to the house for relaxing afternoons and then back to the parks for evening entertainment.
Like most rental properties, the house includes a "starter" items but they won't last a whole week. Make sure to bring your own soap and shampoo, dishwasher tablets and extra garbage bags and plan to buy extra TP. The only slight negative during our stay was that a previous guest took the batteries from the TV remotes. We just used our own batteries for the week.
Lastly, Crystal was wonderful to work with. She was responded quickly to emails and my deposit was returned promptly. Thank you for a lovely stay!
