Cottage / Studio; 1 Queen Bed, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

Now, don't tell those folks who booked the main house, but Scarlet is the not-so-well-kept secret at StellaRuby. Tucked back behind the carport, Scarlet is a cozy one-bedroom unit with queen size bed and bath, and a comfortable sitting area. Outside the front doors, you can fire up the grill and dine al fresco as the cooler evening temperatures descend. Scarlet welcomes lots of natural light and, most importantly, is only about 20 steps out the back gate from Wicked Brew in the morning.
About The Owner

StellaRuby Cottages came about when three great friends (two of whom are sister and brother, as well) decided to create a comfortable and inviting environment from which adventurous guests can discover everything there is to love about Moab.

The friends that keep StellaRuby moving forward are all avid runners, bikers, and kayakers, but the real focus of their lives is their daughters / nieces / friends.

The Owner purchased this studio in 2011

A half block off Moab's lively main drag, StellaRuby is a short walk from downtown amenities, but also offers a unique, sheltering space when you need relaxation from regular life or local adventures.

StellaRuby offers three separate units clustered around a verdant garden area with shared hot tub, a huge gas grill, and gardens with fresh herbs and fruit trees (in season). Mature shade trees, abundant parking, and proximity to downtown restaurants make StellaRuby the discerning choice for travelers seeking to avoid the corporate hotel experience.

StellaRuby is your comfortable and convenient home base from which to explore one of the most unique areas in the country. Finding a slot canyon to traverse. Laying on your back under Delicate Arch as the setting sun casts long shadows. Wondering how many years it took the Colorado to carve those amazing canyons. Those seem like unique activities. Yes, StellaRuby gives you access to those.

What a fantastic place!!! The Scarlet cottage was cozy and perfect for two people. The cottage was very private even with occupants in the house. The yard is beautifully maintained and I loved sitting outside overlooking it. The location was absolutely fantastic too!! Right downtown near our favorite eateries and bike shop. (Love Muffin, Eklectic and Poison Spider.) The banana bread was fantastic and such a great treat when we arrived. :)

We stayed in the Scarletsun cottage for 4 nights. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. The studio was just as pictured. The place was clean and homey and decorated perfectly, but not too stuffy. No detail was overlooked. I loved the natural soaps in the kitchen and bathroom. And we even found a small, freshly baked lemon loaf in the refrigerator. My boyfriend loves lemon desserts so it was just perfect! Location was excellent, we walked to breakfast every morning. We even met one of the owners and connected over some mountain biking trails and stories. Overall I would highly recommend this place for a single traveler or couple. You will not be disappointed!

Romantic and Charming

The owners of Stellruby cottages have obviously put their hearts into this property. After spending our first night in Violet Sky we moved to Scarlet Sun and enjoyed having the small kitchen at our disposal for the remainder of our visit. The cottage was well supplied with enough to let us cook our own meals, saving a few pennies for one special night out in Moab. We also enjoyed cooking on the beautiful grill and eating some of our meals outside in the peaceful garden. We had a wonderful visit to Moab and if we ever get a chance to come back, we'll be staying in one of the Stellaruby cottages again for sure!

Cute, Private Cottage in Great Location

My husband and I were very pleased with our stay. We took advantage of all the amenities, except the hot tub because it was way too hot out! But it looked nice and was in a secluded spot. The owners really thought of everything we may need during our stay. The only thing I think they could improve on is cleaning.. the floors were a bit dirty. We will be back to stay in the main house with friends some day!

The property was as advertised, it was very clean, and was of a high standard. The garden was very welcome place to rest and enjoy the shade. The only suggestion would be a provision of a lamp on the dining table as the corner was dark for dining.
