Both bedrooms include queen size beds complete with high quality contemporary linen, access to private balcony with views, individually controlled air conditioning and heating. Black out blinds and double glazed windows provide for a restful nice sleep and even extended sleep in !
For those that must bring work with them there is a large designer desk in the lounge area complete with basic stationary and printer. Even for those on holiday, the printer will be utilised at some point for printing those last minute vouchers and coupons or boarding passes in a such to the airport.

Just a quick note of thanks for our recent stay in January 2014!
I stayed at The Penthouse with my husband, my young son and my parents. The property exceeded all of our expectations and we were extremely satisfied with both the quality of the property, and its location.
Before our holiday, I was a little nervous about the possibility that the property might be a little noisy given its close vicinity to the city centre and Kings Cross. I'm pleased to say that even when we had the windows open in the loungeroom/living area, we were pleasantly surprised at the low level of traffic noise, which did not trouble us at all, even with our young toddler.
It was evident that you had gone to extra efforts to make us feel comfortable, welcomed and safe. As mentioned earlier, I was nervous about our holiday - it was our first holiday away with our young son. When we arrived, I discovered that you had bought some toys specially for my son from his favourite TV show - a lovely touch! I was extremely appreciative and shocked that you had gone to this extra effort - a big reason why I wanted to write this positive review to you!
We will definitely stay at The Penthouse again, even if I travel to Sydney for work rather than a holiday!
MINIMUM NUMBER OF NIGHTS
The minimum number of nights I have set as 3. There may be times where I can offer the apartment for only one or two night stay with but there may have to be small on charge cost for cleaning. Please contact me and enquire - I will always try and do my best to help.
NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS
I have listed the apartment sleeps 6 adults comfortably. 2 x Queen Beds and 1 x Double sofa bed.
However you can sleep up to 10 adults in comfortable beds - the amount of 'space' your travel companions personally need is something you will need to decide. Every bed for the 10 adults listed above is very comfortable. (Note: Queen size will need be set up in the living area by moving the coffee table slightly aside.) These are all new and very comfortable double height blow up mattress, Provided in Queen, Double and King single size. Each mattress is stored in the storage cupboard under the stairs. Each mattress is stored in a pack containing all liben - sheets, doona, doona cover and pillows. There is also an electric pump with three different nozzle settings so all three mattresses can be inflated using this in only minutes.
The prices outlined are per night for the entire apartment and DON'T increase with the number of guests.
The building is pet friendly so although I have never had pets I have advertised that pets are allowed. A common sense approach to this is expected in regards to the type and size of the pet.
There is an additional cleaning fee of $200 if you bring a pet. This fee is to have the carpets professionally cleaned and a higher level of general cleaning performed for hygiene and allergy concerns for the next guest.

What makes this apartment unique
- The contrast between the restored 1925 original exterior with the modern recently renovated interior.
- The adjustable shutters on the bedroom and bathroom that allow for varying natural light.
- The bathroom that has a full width window. Most modern apartment and nearly all hotels have an internal bathroom with no window. Having a shower looking out down to the harbour is awesome. Natural light and feeling of open space.
- The floor to ceiling double sliding doors on master bedroom when opened brings the outside in - fresh breeze and feeing of space.
- Architectural design which has created a very unique apartment with no 'normal' shaped ceilings or rooms.
- 3 totally separate and private balconies. Balconies are a great feature that most hotels don't offer and other apartments mostly only offer one balcony off the living are if that at all. Fresh air with a breeze and natural light is perhaps my favourite feature of the Apartment.
- The apartment is 100% secure. Leave all windows and balcony doors open when leaving, to returning to an open fresh air apartment i As its a corner apartment - opening windows on opposite sides creates a great cross breeze.
- 4th Floor is far away enough from the ground to allow for no noise disturbance but still close enough to enjoy the diversity that this area has to offer. Many hours have bee spent people watching over the balcony.
