Cottage, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 3)

Small, quiet oceanfront home. Views of Buzzard's Bay from every window, with full wrap-around outside deck. Enjoy sunrise and sunsets . Access to the second floor sleeping area requires climbing steep and narrow stairs , which can be a challenge. Please keep this in mind if there are mobility, balance or stair climbing issues or concerns. Also, this location is directly on the shore, with all the wind and weather concerns that go with it.

About a 10 minute drive from Interstate 195. Easy drive east to Cape Cod, or west to Newport . New England Seafood...or authentic Portuguese food only minutes away.

A great ' Winter Storm Watching ' destination, great views of the Elizabeth Islands , Cape Cod and parts of Martha's Vineyard . Nearby, the Newport mansions or the Cape Cod canal bridges ....gateway to Cape Cod. Daily ferry boat transportation from neighboring New Bedford operate most all year to Cuttyhunk Island and Martha's Vineyard.

Fabulous time in Fairhaven!

This property was absolutely wonderful for our weeklong stay in Fairhaven. It has beautiful sunrise/sunset views of the ocean and is everything that is described above. Peter was gracious and very helpful with any questions that we had. We would highly recommend this to anyone needing to get away. We hope to come and visit again in the future.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway

The place is exactly as described and pictured. :) The owner was super helpful and very easy to work with.

The house itself has beautiful views and the washer/dryer made packing a breeze.

We will definitely be returning.

Lovely spot, lovely people

My oldest friend and I have been taking a long weekend away every January for years. When our B&B closed we had to find a new spot and decided to try a rental. We've already signed up to return next year.

This is a bright, lovely, simple house in a beautiful spot. The kitchen is well-supplied, the beds are comfortable, the living room has everything you need. It is neat, clean, and cozy, and built with an eye to beauty and simplicity. Views in every direction, wonderful light.

The host is friendly and welcoming but in no way intrusive. We are so happy to have found this little gem.

Charming Cottage and the Perfect Location

We stayed at the "Sky House" cottage for four wonderful days! The cottage is charming, neat as a pin, perfect views and so so cozy. Great sunrises right outside your window and fabulous views.

We visited West Island which is accessible within 1/2 a mile from the cottage, saw beautiful historic downtown Fairhaven, a day trip to the Cape with a walk along the Cape Cod Canal, simply relaxing and enjoying the views.

The owner, Peter, was very helpful with recommendations and directions, etc. We would definitely recommend this property. As the owner states in the ad, there are steep stairs up to the 2nd floor, so if this is a concern for you, do heed the advice.

Wonderful Place!

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay in this cottage. It is very neat and clean, charming but not fussy, comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is well-equipped, so we ate most of our meals there, though we went in to town (to the restaurant "99") for one dinner. The rest of the time was spent sitting on the deck or walking in the picturesque, quiet neighborhood. There is also a nice television with cable. The cottage is just as shown in the photos, with lots of windows and unbelievable views. The owner, who lives nearby, was friendly and easy to work with. I would look forward to staying here again.
One note: There are steep stairs up to the sleeping areas, so I wouldn't recommend it for young children or anyone who has trouble with climbing or balance.
