I am a passionate gardener and lover of old houses. How lucky was I when I stumbled upon this amazing house on a huge corner lot with the French Legation at the end of the street! And the city just a block away!
Debbie Utley purchased this house in 2005
Great clean & comfortable home that is walking distance to about everything Austin has to offer. Debbie is a wonderful host. Highly recommended property.
Absolutely great house in a great neighborhood. Walking distance to downtown and lots of great restaurants. Short bike ride to Zilker and lots of other amazing places. Would definitely recommend renting from Deborah, she was an amazing host with a beautiful home!
If you want an authentic Austin home, this is it. The beds were super comfortable, there were chicken eggs for breakfast, and the coffee was a favorite. The location is superb for walking to major attractions!! Debbie is flexible and will help you find local events if she can. Only drawback is the one bathroom for the two huge rooms, but otherwise this is worth staying at over any old hotel.
My daughter and I spent three days in this beautiful home. The neighborhood was convenient to all we wanted ... great restaurants, nightlife and Austin historic spots, plus very walkable. The yard is beautifully landscaped and we loved it that Patsy, the chicken, would be on the front porch to visit with us in the mornings. The owner is very gracious and made sure our stay was comfortable. I will definitely be back here.
Absolutely stunning and painstakingly renovated 19th century Old Texas clapboard house, located with walking distance to almost everything in East Austin and Downtown. Walk to music or sights, or just lounge in the sunlit parlor. Debbie is a lovely and gracious host, clearly in love with this wonderful City. If you're looking for authentic luxury, you won't be disappointed.
This home is a picturesque cottage, decorated to the nines with lots of special touches. The beds are super luxurious, gorgeous modern kitchen, amazing yard all SO close to everything! The home owner and host Debbie is so sweet and very helpful! We will be back!
