Fantastic!

My husband and I took two grandchildren to D.C. and this house was the perfect place. We walked to many places that we wanted to see or else we took the metro which was very close. Everything was convenient and lots of great restaurants nearby. This made for a perfect location.
But the house! It was like home. We looked forward to getting back there every night. It was so comfortable and cozy. We had guests for dinner one night and there was plenty of room for everyone.
This place was VERY clean and well maintained. We needed airconditioning for a couple of days during a heatwave which worked perfectly and easilyand then when it got cold, we wound up needing a little heat which was also easy. AND it was very, very quiet.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone. I can't even imagine a better place for us.

Perfect vacation location

My family and I stayed for a week in the very cozy well accommodating house and enjoyed every minute of it! The location was perfect, very close to the Metro and btw....the Metro will take you anywhere you want in the city was absolute ease. Super great restaurants just one block or two from the house on Barracks Row....all in all a wonderful house and vacation!!! Highly recommended VRBO! :)

Our best VRBO experience EVER

We have done vacation rentals for years, but this was, by far, our best experience ever. The house is exactly as lovely as shown in the pictures. It is well maintained, spotlessly cleaned and doesn't have that "tired" look that short term rentals often acquire over time. The house is on a lovely quiet street and is just a short walk away from the bustling Eastern Market, a weekend farmer's market and dozens of wonderful restaurants and interesting shops. It is a short two-three block stroll to the Metro which made a rental car unnecessary, but the house has a garage in case you have a car. We walked around the area in the evenings and felt perfectly safe and the neighbors were friendly. The house had everything that we needed, and more. Mark and his staff were available for questions and were quite helpful. We had a lovely vacation, and starting it off by going into this warm, inviting home, set the tone for the rest of our trip. I recommend it wholeheartedly and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Highly recommend this wonderful townhome!

We just concluded a 3-week stay at the townhome, and recommend it highly to anyone in DC for pleasure or business. The house is comfortable, spacious, and has every amenity you could possibly imagine or require--the fully-stocked kitchen is a gem! The house is ideally situated steps from Eastern Market, and the Eastern Market metro stop is a 5-minute walk. Restaurants and shops (everything from fast food to fine dining, CVS, 7-Eleven, etc) on 8th St and Pennsylvania Avenue are a couple minutes' walk, and you can get to Safeway and Harris Teeter in 10 minutes. You do not need a car to visit DC, and certainly not if staying here, but if you do have a car, the garage is another convenient perk, and the house is just a few minutes from 395 and 295. It was a pleasure to work with Mark, and everything with our stay, from start to finish was just perfect!

Summer vacation in DC

We loved the townhome on Capitol Hill! It looked just like it did in the photos. Very comfortable and easy access to metro to travel to all the sites in the mall area.
We rented a car since we had a garage so we were able to travel outside of Washington DC as well. When we arrived, the lights were on and music was playing on the radio to welcome us!
Mark...the realtor who leased us the property did a fantastic job answering any questions we had throughout the week. The neighborhood was safe to walk in and their is an outside market on the weekends two blocks from the house. There is also an indoor market two blocks away for groceries and a Safeway a few blocks away to shop as well. Restaurants were within walking distance but we enjoyed using the gourmet kitchen to do alot of cooking to save money.
The house was clean and roomy for a family of four but could sleep at least two more with an air matrees downstairs.
This was so much nicer than staying in a hotel with two teenagers plus we saved money cooking in for breakfast and dinner instead of eating out all the time.
I would highly recommend this property for a stay in the DC area for any family!!
