|Minimum Stay||4 - 6 nights|
Newly renovated and modern 1 bedroom apartment located on a high floor that has panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, Condado Lagoon, Port of San Juan, and the 'main drag' Ashford Avenue from all rooms. It's water views are breathtaking by day and as spectacular by night when Condado's Ashford Avenue and San Juan come alive. Sit on the balcony on the comfortable patio furniture and absorb the surroundings while sipping a cool drink. The condo is within walking distance to many spectacular beaches and dining. It is located diagonally from the newly built Condado Vanderbilt Hotel, two blocks from the La Concha Hotel and a block from the Ventana al Mar park and Condado beach. You are in the heart of Condado and within walking distance to all. Kayak, Paddle Board and other water sport rentals are available at the lagoon. Some of the other local amenities are the hotels, casinos, bars, nightclubs, restaurants, shopping area including Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Supermarkets and pharmacies are also nearby. Public transportation (B21 bus or cab) can take you to Old San Juan. Upon request, my property manager can act as your personal tour guide. This is the sister apartment to www.HomeAway.com listing # 3619351.
I have been traveling to Condado since I was a young boy. I fell in love with the beaches, food and people. There are so many fun things to visit and do that it is impossible to get bored.
Anthony and Debbie Colalillo purchased this condo in 2011
The views are simply spectacular wherever you are in the apartment. There are water views everywhere and the location is right in the middle of Condado with easy access to all.
It is all about the views!
I had the BEST time! Thank you for everything. Your places were beautiful, and the location couldn’t be beat.
Also, Maritza was incredible to deal with. She is AWESOME!
THANK YOU AGAIN!...I will definitely look for availability whenever I have the opportunity to visit again (which I hope is soon); as well as recommend your places, to my friends.
This was my first time using VRBO so I was a bit anxious and unsure if everything would be as advertised. IT WAS!!!!
The apartment matched the pictures exactly so I was very happy. The kitchen was beautiful and the bathroom was great. I also have to say that I was impressed by some of the small details which make all the difference. The apartment had water bottles which allowed us to take water to the beach, a coffee maker, plenty of towels and it had two small but somewhat functional (sorta) beach chairs.
The views were in a word SPECTACULAR! My girlfriend and I literally spent hours just sitting on the balcony with some wine and staring at the sea and bay views. There is a small airport not too far away and it was cool to watch the small puddle jumper planes land. The apartment was quiet and we slept very well each night.
The location was awesome right near the beach and also right in the heart of Condado. We walked right outside the apartment and took the B21 to Old San Juan and it was only 75 cents. I will say that in the night the buses don't run that often so you might have to wait at least 30-40 minutes.
The manager Maritza is a God send and helped with everything we needed without bothering us and giving us our space. Anthony was very responsive and answered all my questions.
So by now you're thinking it can't all be positive right? There were a few little things. So while the apartment inside is awesome the building directly next door is a dump. When walking to the front door you will have to endure the eyesore of a building on your left. You also will not get that glamorous feeling from the common areas and the cage door on the front door. Anthony explained that it's a remnant from when the building was built but it still gives me the creeps. We felt totally safe and after a while we got used to that metal door but it's still ugly.
All in all I would definitely go back! When you compare the price of this condo vs. La Concha hotel this wins every time with me. Stay here and save your money for four star dinners at Oceano and La Madre (Old San Juan). That's what we did.
We just returned from spending a very enjoyable 2 month winter escape in Condado thanks in large part to staying in Anthony and Debbie's lovely and well located condo. The condo is exactly as pictured in the photos. The furnishings are attractive with a comfortable sofa and bed. All linens are provided including beach towels. Two beach chairs are available. The kitchen is fully equipped for making your own meals.
It was great having 2 flat screen T.V.s that got most of the same cable channels as home.
Another plus is the washer/dryer combo in the apt. No need to collect coins and go to a laundry room to do your wash. The building is very solidly built so you cannot hear the neighbors and they can't hear you!
Location: the condo faces north and west. We so enjoyed eating dinner at the dining room table and looking out the west window over the Condado lagoon at the gorgeous cloud formations and fabulous sunsets. In the morning our favorite pastime was sitting on the north-facing balcony with our coffees and watching the ever changing colors of the Atlantic Ocean rolling in. The balcony is nicely furnished with a comfortable loveseat, 2 chairs and a glass topped table.
The building is within walking distance of many restaurants, 2 movie theaters, 2 museums, the music conservatory, beaches and parks , 2 supermarkets. a CVS and a Walgreen, a monthly Farmer's Market, and a monthly Heiniken Jazz Festival.
The bus to Old San Juan stops across the street.
Anthony is very responsive and promptly took care of any concerns we had .
Maritza, the property manager, lives in the building and is ever ready to answer questions .
She is also available to provide transportation services for a reasonable fee.
We enjoyed our stay so much we're going back next winter!
Great location--close to the beach and restaurants; spectacular view of the lagoon; very clean and comfortable apt with superior furnishings and appliances; manager (Maritza) and owner (Anthony) are both very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place! This is my second time renting it and I hope to return next year.
We were met at the airport by the condo manager Maritza. She took us to the supermarket then sightseeing, recommending restaurants and other things to do. The condo was amazing. Looked exactly like to pictures. Clean and updated, they supplied beach towels chairs and kitchen had everything we needed. Great furnished balcony with amazing views. The location was perfect close to restaurants, shopping and just sightseeing. We rented bikes from Robert at San Juan bike rentals and rode bikes to old San Juan. He delivered the bikes to our condo. Super service. We went to see the old fort, old church and rode around old town. It was a lot easier then renting a car and fighting traffic or parking. San Juan is a bike and pedestrian friendly town. When leaving We took a very early flight and again Maritza was very accommodating and got us there early. She made us feel like family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return. Thanks to Anthony and Wonderful Maritza.
The view of the ocean from the balcony is incredible. The condo itself has many upgrades and overall is very comfortable and well furnished. Maritza the property manager is so nice and helpful. She called the day before we arrived and offered to pick us up at the airport. She also showed us several places nearby to eat and where not to go. There are lots of restaurants within very close walking distance, as well as a sandy beach, casino, and snorkeling. I would recommend renting a car for a day- go to the rainforest, explore a little! Overall, I am glad we stayed here versus the very pricey resorts. The only negative I can think of is no pool in the building - but the view and proximity to the beach made up for it. Have already recommended this condo to friends and will again.
My partner and I travel extensively and routinely use VRBO when we do. We like to give honest and constructive feedback to help others who are considering the location and the accomodations.
This unit is located in the Condado area of San Juan, in the "tourist district". It has been many years since I had visited Condado and I was somewhat surprised by the number of dilapidated and shuttered buildings and stores in the area. Maybe it's the result of the recession, but it wasn't the vibrant Condado that I remembered from previous visits. There are a lot of good restaurants in the area and everything is within walking distance. We felt safe walking at night.
The building where this unit is located is across the street from the beach, but has great views of both Condado Bay and the ocean, though there is a hotel in front of the building that blocks some of the ocean view. There is no swimming pool, which would be nice after a day at the beach. The building is secure, almost alarmingly so. When you get off the elevators on the 8th floor, most of the doors have security "cages" around them, giving the impression that you are entering a lock-down facility. Our "cage" didn't lock, nor did we feel the need to use it, though. The door had two locks on it, but the handset lock was inoperable. Thus, we only used the deadbolt.
The apartment itself is exactly as described and pictured. It's small, but very nicely decorated and furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. Everything was spotless. The only suggestion that we can make to improve the unit would be to furnish bath soap, small bottles of shampoo and conditioner, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, etc. You can certainly buy these once you get there, but you have to leave them due to airline travel regulations.
Wi-Fi is shared with another unit owned by Anthony. It was "spotty" in the bedroom and was out completely for a couple of days while we were there. It wasn't a big deal to us, but may be to someone who needs to do some work while they are on vacation.
Anthony (the owner) was great to deal with. He responded very quickly. Maritza, the property manager, is a gem. She picked us up at the airport, took us to the grocery store on the way to the apartment, and took us back to the airport at 6:15 am on the day we left. We loved her!
All-in-all, we would highly recommend this unit if we decided to vacation in the Condado area again.
This Condado vacation property is in the heart of the tourist area on Ashford Avenue with parks, beaches, world class restaurants and retailers, nightclubs, casinos, supermarkets, pharmacies and more. Only a 5 minute car ride from Old San Juan with its historic city architecture, shopping, El Morro and San Cristobal Forts including the Paseo de Princessa waterfront walkway.
