The property sits on 4.5 acres of luscious New Hampshire forest and is VERY private. The main house has three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a tub. There is a screen porch with a hot tub, dinning room w/180 degree view of the , lake, kitchen and large living room with a fireplace. The bunk house has a game room with air hockey, TV, VCR, WiFi, laundry and a full bathroom on the first floor. Upstairs is a bunk room with sleeping for six. The total number allowed to stay on the property is twelve. This is a traditional New England summer camp-clean and neat, but not fancy. The floors are painted, the counter tops are laminate, and the windows can be opened wide for a cool summer breeze. This is a house built for playing, relaxing and spending time with family and friends. On sunny days, you can expect to play on the small beach, explore on the lake on three kayaks and jump off the large 80 foot dock that wraps around for a well-defined swimming area for children and a 12'x12' raft . The property offers a fire pit set back from the house and waterfront. Bird watchers will be impressed by the lake's plethora of bird species including the infamous New Hampshire loon! If you are looking for a relaxing, low key camp for high gear fun this is absolutely the place!
The main house was built in 1901 and the bunk house in 2003. Both structures are for summer use only and are simple, well-maintained and kid friendly. Screens are kept in good repair but this is an 'old school' camp with painted floors and a simple, yet functional kitchen.
Master bedroom has windows on three sides for an amazing summer breeze and views. The views are stunning of open lake from three angles, so you wake up to water all around (a little like sleeping in a tree house!).
Guest bedroom: This room has 2 windows both with lake views. The daybed has a futon mattress with a foam pad that is suitable for a child to and a queen bed. There's a tall dresser.
Children’s bedroom: This room can sleep 4. A couple who can sleep on a full mattress and a top bunk and trundle that are singles. When our children were young this was a perfect room for our friend's with small children as they could all sleep in the same room. Later it became the boy's bunk room.
Bunk House: The bunk house sits up on a small hill 40 feet from the main house just across a small lawn. The lawn is as wide as a badminton court so the bunk house is within calling distance as in - 'hey kids, come in for dinner'. The first floor is a game room with pullout couch w/qeen bed ,cableTV, air hockey table, a bathroom with a shower and laundry.
Bunk House 2nd Floor: has one queen, one twin bunk and two twin beds. Perfect for a second family or a teen bunk room. There's a dresser and a bedside tables.
There are tons of area attractions for rainy days including an arcade in Weir's beach, ice cream runs, mini golf and hikes around the Lakes Region.
This is our family summer home where we have raised our 4 children during their summer vacations. The camp was not being used as much so we decided to rent the property as few years ago. Over the last six years we have rented very successfully and have had several families return each summer. The main attractions of our camp include enjoying the great outdoors, especially early morning kayak cruises and late afternoon sunsets. Water sport and fishing enthusiasts will love the accessibility of great fishing and plenty of great inlets to practice sports (water skis, tubes, boats & fishing poles not included). The house sits about 10 feet above the lake from the water's edge on 4 acres. The views of the lake are spectacular in both directions. There is no TV in the main house, but there is WiFi. The bunk house has cable, VCR/DVD and WiFi. When the children were little the dinning room was the most used room with a huge dinning room table perfect for cards and puzzles. During their teenage years, the kids would leave dinner and go to the bunk house to watch movies and play games/air hockey, leaving the parents to relax and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the lake.
Loons call out and owls hoot during the night and because the house is located on the norther end of the lake, it is very quiet at night. We have seen eagles, osprey, common mergansers and lots and lots of loons!
Randy Clark purchased this house in 1992
You can bring your own boat or rent one on the lake. Lots for room inside and out so everyone can spread out and enjoy themselves. The views from all the bedrooms are beautiful and because you are right on the lake, you can hear the loons at night. We have a great staff that has been working for us for years so if something does go wrong they can be there to fix it quickly.
Private, yet convenient! Plenty of room for 2 families. Very relaxing and great for families with small children or families with teenagers. When you sit in the dinning room or master bedroom you do not see the land - only the lake. The house sits up off the lake and there are stairs down to the dock so it is very safe for small children. We always told the kids they needed to wait at the top of the stairs so it was very safe.
We were looking for a low key house for a small family reunion and this was perfect, very easy to be there with lots of kids in bathing suits. It’s just what they said, an old school summer camp that is kept clean and kept up. What surprised me was how beautiful the views were as it sits right on the lake. There were stairs down to the dock which I was not sure about but ended up loving as it added an extra level of safety. We had a great time and the day it rained, there was lots to do in Meredith.
