La Paz Condo Rental Photos and Description
Condo, 3 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 8)
Enjoy breakfast on your 1240 sq. ft. covered terrace as you watch luxury yachts sail by and make your plans for the day. Maybe a quick trip to the gym or a few laps in the private owners pool. Perhaps a round of golf or tennis, or a trip into town on the free shuttle for a day of sightseeing and lunch in town. On the other hand, a day at the private Beach Club, laying by the infinity pool with an exotic drink and a good book might be the call for the day. Whatever your choices, you will want to be back at your condo for drinks on the terrace to watch some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world.
After dinner - the one you created in your gourmet kitchen, at one of the 4 restaurants located on the property, or a trip into town to one of many fine restaurants, it's time to return home to relax in your home away from home. You will find two master suites with queen sized beds (one has two queens, the other one), ceiling fans, water views, blackout curtains, flat screen HD t.v.'s, with HBO, ensuite baths with jacuzzi tubs, seperate showers, and double sinks. The third bedroom has twin beds with ceiling fan and full ensuite bath. The main living area consists of a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with leather bar stools, a dining area that seats six, and a sitting area with 47' flat screen sattelite HD t.v. with HBO and multiple music channels. The outside covered terrace has another dining area for six and two additional seating areas as well as a two person hammock on a boat stand. There is a half bath for guests as well as a full laundry room in the unit. The entire condo is fully air conditioned, has all Egyptian marble floors and ten foot ceilings. Amenities at our building of Vistamar include a fully equipped state of the art gym, a private owners pool, a game room with pool table, table tennis and fooze ball, and a concierge on duty in the spectacular lobby all day to help arrange your day or answer any questions. The building is gated with 24 hour security staff on duty.
The master suite with two queen beds can be locked off from the rest of the unit and includes a sitting area, seperate terrace, seperate entrance and a kitchenette with cooktop, microwave oven, sink, refrigerator and granite countertops. See rate sheet for renting this portion of the unit only.
The 580 acre property of Costa Baja includes 2 marinas, a new Gary Player signature golf course, full service spa, private beach club (available for use of our guests), a fully staffed Amerimed medical clinic, 4 excellent restaurants, a convenience store, tennis courts, as well as an office for booking day trips to whale watch, swim with the baby sea lions or explore the Island of Espirito Santo in the Sea of Cortez. The 4 person golf cart that comes with the unit is an excellent way to get around the property.
Although the property at Costa Baja has enough activities to keep you busy for days, your trip would not be complete without spending time exploring the city of La Paz. The city of La Paz is 475 years old and the capital of Baja California Sur. It is one of the cleanest, friendliest and safest cities in all of Mexico. Along with modern government buildings, shopping malls and state of the art hospitals, there are lovely parks, beautiful old haciendas, quaint shopping streets and one of the prettiest malecons (wide walking boulevards along the water's edge) in all of Mexico. The citizens love to use their city and on weekends flock to the malecon and beaches to meet friends, dine and take in free concerts. The city itself is safe enough to wander alone or with children at any time, day or night, and hosts fiestas for just about any reason throughout the year, most including parades, music and fireworks. La Paz is not a 'tourist trap' you won't find any street vendors trying to sell you anything.
The weather in La Paz is very temperate, and because of it's 'high desert' make up, the humidity is quite low. The fall, winter and spring temperatures range between the mid seventies and high eighties. The summer (July, August and early September) can be warmer, but that is the season when all the fish move into the Sea of Cortez, so very popular with big game fishermen.

My husband and I live in Marin County, California, just north of San Francisco. We retired a few years ago but until then he was a developer and I was an interior designer. We own a motor yacht which we took to Mexico for the winter two years ago. During that time we started looking for a vacation home somewhere in Mexico, but could not find anything that wasn't too touristy or remote. When we came back last spring to cruise the Sea of Cortez, we spent a few days staying at Costa Baja and exploring La Paz and fell in love. We bought our Condo while it was still under construction, moved in last fall, and have never been happier.
I was raised in Hawaii and always assumed we would buy a second home there. My husband has always been partial to Mexico, and when I discovered La Paz I changed my mind about where I wanted to be. The people are warm and friendly, the city is not too large (250,000 people) but has every amenity you could think of, and our home in Costa Baja is on the water (a necessity for us). There are so many activities at Costa Baja as well as in La Paz, that we can't fit them all in on our visits. One of my favorites is Carnivale, which occurs the five days before Lent. Music, dancing, parades, food and fireworks every night! We are not great golfers, but the golf course at Costa Baja is beautiful, and we enjoy it thoroughly. The food is wonderful, with some of the freshest seafood I've ever eaten. In addition, La Paz is easily accessible by air, so our friends and family are able to join us often.
The state of the art gym, the Beach Club with a great bar and restaurant as well as an infinity pool on the beach, the golf course and our own swimming pool and cabana in our building.
