Recently on YELP about Asbury Park and its beaches:
“One of the best beaches in NJ. Asbury brings it's own personality; diverse, eclectic, artistic and fun to the NJ beach scene. No Jersey Shore cheese here - clean beaches, great restaurants and nightlife abound...”
“One of the best decisions I ever made. It’s got the beach, boardwalk, fresh salty air and small town friendliness along with active nightlife and restaurant scene you need to revive yourself on the weekends, all within an accessible 90 min train/car ride from Jersey City/NYC. This place is not for everyone; contingent on liking Asbury Park is embracing its diverse and funky vibe. Black, white, latino, gay, straight, preppy, rock and roll, singles and families all somehow have their place here, and it just works. If you 'get it', you will be hooked. And yes, the beach itself is beautiful.”

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING--
The Fig Tree House was a wonderful place! The email contacting is sweet, picking up at the train station and showed us everything (and everything is so ready!) Thanks for dropping by to figure out the stereo (the magical Pat moment!)
See you again, sooner or later

Loved the POTENTIAL and DIVERSITY of the now hip-city
You can't beat the 1 block walk to the beach & private parking! I walk from this property to the beach almost daily and each time i reach the boardwalk I think 'that was so easy!' I might live there!
