Things to do in London: There's the Globe theatre ( a copy of Shakespeare's original which was the brainchild of the late Sam Wanamaker) on the south bank. The Royal Festival Hall and the London Museum are easily reached from the apartment. There's The Royal Observatory and The Maritime Museum in Greenwich park, a short bus ride away. On Friday mornings there is a flea market, a short walk across Tower Bridge. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs to choose from for your meals.
There is the Tate Modern, The Nation Gallery,The London Eye - The biggest ferries wheel in the world and more, so much more, something to interest everyone.
This apartment was a pleasure to stay in. Warm, comfortable, clean and lots of space! The location is excellent: it's only a 10 minute walk to the nearest Tube station (Tower Hill) or you can hop the #100 bus right into central London. There are several amenities closeby as well, including several cafes and restaurants, a very nice grocery store and a Starbucks :). We loved walking by the Tower of London each day, it was amazing. I'd recommend this apartment in a heartbeat to anyone that was visiting London!
The experience staying at this property has been so good that I have stayed there 4 times! What better endorsement good there be? The apartment is clean, well-appointed and very well maintained. It has all the facilities that are needed for a relaxed stay - I have found everything to be in tiptop condition and not one thing that I needed was not available. The close proximity of a quality supermarket makes self-catering so simple. The owner, Mr Harris, is a great help. He is very flexible on both check in and check out and the complementary provisions and bottle of wine just add to the highly professional and high quality customer service. The apartment is just a short walk away from the Tower of London and the associated sights and attractions of the City I highly recommend this property.
We visit London at least once a year to see family and friends, and this is was our fourth stay in this apartment. What makes us keep coming back is the great location. There are easy transport links to all parts of London, with Tower Hill tube a pleasant 15 minute walk through St Katherine Dock, avoiding busy streets. The location itself is quiet and safe and the flat is bright, warm and cosy and generally well equipped. Terry (the owner) is friendly and helpful and will usually meet you on arrival. Any minor problems we've had have been sorted out quickly. The flat is excellent value for money: we will certainly continue to stay here and would not hesitate to recommend to others.
We are New Zealanders who come to London for summer every year. We have stayed at this apartment for a total of 23 weeks over 6 trips every year since 2009 and we have booked for 2015 as well. - need I say more.
The location is great with a pleasant 10 minute walk to Tower Hill underground or 10 minutes to the city of London. A bus stop is right outside the complex. Waitrose and other shop are a cross the road. The river is 2 minutes away. The owners are delightful and responsive. Highly recommended.
We have so enjoyed this centrally-located apartment that we’ve stayed three times! The comfort and convenience factors cannot be understated. It’s directly opposite a Waitrose supermarket, restaurants in the St Katharine Docks marina, a short walk to Tower Hill Tube Station and the 100 bus takes you into the city where you can alight at Liverpool Street Station, St Paul’s or even cross the Thames as far as Bermondsey.
The apartment is light-filled, airy but cosy, clean and well-equipped, should you wish to eat in and there is a good stock of guide books for further tourist assistance in and around London. An added bonus is the complementary WiFi. Situated in a secure complex, there is also a parking spot available. With attentive owners, location and competitive tariffs, this is an ideal base for a couple and a gem of a find in London.
We stayed at this wonderful flat for one week in November 2012, and can say that it is exactly as described: light and airy, clean, with lots of space, in a safe community, and with friendly owners. Only one thing: the bathroom is not small, but rather large! ;-) We will definitely return.
