A Nice, Private, Country Retreat consisting of 40+ Wooded Acres looking out on a 7 Acre Lake located 40 miles west of Indianapolis off Interstate 70 . Enjoy boating and great fishing-the lake is stocked with bass and blue gill. Miles of hiking trails venture in the adjoining woods of Dogwood Springs forest preserve. Large, Fully Equipped kitchen with seating for 20 includes Industrial Oven/Range. Living room views the lake with comfortable seating and HD TV. A large deck off the kitchen and living room is equipped with barbecue and two patio tables. Or use the fire pit barbecue area near the lake. The cabin room has the fireplace and an assortment of books for reading. The game room is in the lower level having a television, pool table, kitchenette and walk out patio.

Suitable for Family Reunions, Group Getaways, Weddings.

This is a newly remodelled and furnished property. We will do all we can to make your stay an enjoyable and memorable experience. Please use caution because you are in a wilderness area and use of the lakes is at your own risk. We recommend you bring sunscreen, insect repellent and your own fishing gear. There is golfing at Clover Meadows golf course. DePauw University is 20 minutes north in the city of Greencastle. Greencastle is famous for it's award-winning restaurant 'Almost Home'. The Indianapolis Airport is 20 minutes east. The Indianapolis 500 Race is 45 minutes east. The Indianapolis Museum of Art is 30 minutes east. The Centre City Mall is 30 minutes east. The Indianapolis zoo and botanical gardens is 35 min. away.

Great Weekend

We rented this place for an annual get together of a group of guys who come in from all over the country, and it turned out to be perfect. The location is great - only about an hour from Indy, where most of us live, and also only about a half an hour from the Indy airport for the folks who flew in. Secluded, very private location with great decks, a dock and a firepit, as well as a lake perfect for swimming. It was the little things that really made this place great - lots of dishes and nice appliances, plenty of beds (of 13, only 2 or 3 folks had to sleep on couches) and lots of out door lighting. This house is great for a trip like this and also a family vacation.

This home was absolutely wonderful!!! It was beyond a normal vacation house, it had all the little added touches to make it special and feel like a home away from home. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. It was secluded for privacy and had lots of room outdoors to do many different activities like hiking, boating, fishing, and swimming all without leaving the property! The state park was so close, it was a great find, we did not know it was there till we got there. I think we will be back again!!!

Wonderful location

We spent a long weekend at the Dogwood Guesthouse. This beautiful home is very well equipped and comfortable for even a large group of people. We had 11 people from grandparents down to 11 year olds. All of us enjoyed our stay. Several folks went fishing in the private stocked lake, others went swimming and/or boating, the golf cart was very popular for exploring the many trails, and the fire ring got lots of use in the evening. Although the listing was completely accurate, the property was even nicer than we expected.

There are no words to express what this amazing house gave to my family, but I will try. There were 14 of us in this house and had room for more. The peace, quiet and privacy was perfect for a reunion of the families of 3 sisters in their 80's. All needs were met and satisfied. The men fished (30 some fish caught), the ladies share memories. Fixing meals in the gourmet kitchen was easy as everything needed was there. We just brought the food.The house was clean, well stocked and inviting. The lake created a feeling of peace. The upper deck is ideal for morning coffee or just watching the lake and reading a book. TV with surround sound and pool table on the lower level entertained the younger ones well. Literally,pack just clothes and food, everything else is there! Thank you for such a wonderful home!

This house had everything. My friends and I (5 families) met here for a weekend. Our kids had a blast, and we loved the firepit. You guys really thought of everything. We plan to make it an annual trip.
