What do you get when you give a 1500 S.F. split level Penthouse 80 ft above THE DIRIA HOTEL with its pools and stunning gardens that are front and center on the white sand beaches of Tamarindo to renowned architect Xyanna Bateau to design and decorate from scratch WITH NO BUDGET? You get an ethereal, hauntingly memorable masterpiece dubbed THE BEACH NEST by the creator.

As the author of this description, when I first saw THE BEACH NEST I mumbled “ I’ve never seen anything like it” (and I honestly hadn’t). The theme of the property is an airy Tropical Indonesian style with a Balinese motif and can put the observer and occupant in a dreamlike trance to start their special holiday. Does this magnificent getaway fit in with the Pura Vida which C.R. is famous for-I think so. The Architect/Designer has captured the essence of elegance throughout. However it is also practical and designed for water toy storage and with wet people in mind. You see Title block and all marble and wood floors with hand carved wood accents in abundance and then you feel amazement.

The living room has a wonderfully unique, long curling sectional where the sections convert into a comfortable bed . I then stepped up to an elevated Dining Room that I thought was really hip. There are two Master suites, one on each floor with King size beds, a full kitchen with everything a chef could desire and a nice laundry room are other amenities that make you feel at home. This Penthouse is unique and in a class by itself.

In this habitat fit for royalty the piece of resistance was a combined 40 Feet of spacious balconies on Two floors with panoramic views of the Sea and Coast from every spot. That is when I went “wow” for the 2nd time. The wide Tamarindo beaches are steps away.

I found antique columns everywhere and heavy grained cedar paneling. I felt the many original Costarican art works fit in well with everything else. You overlook a 10,000 sq ft pool and gardens directly below. THE BEACH NEST sleeps 6. All of the wonderful hotel amenities are available to you; restaurants, pools,room service, massages. Your wish is our command. We provide complimentary maid and laundry service. Nannies, chefs, private Tour Guides and much ,much more are available to our guests during your 5 star stay. About The Owner

I am a businessman nearing retirement that loves surfing. When I'm not in Costa Rica I can't wait to get back. I've traveled all over the world to many of the so called garden spots but this is the first place I encountered where I wanted to own live in.

The Owner purchased this townhome in 2010
Why The Owner chose Tamarindo

My sweetheart and I fell in love with The Diria Condominiums. When the R.E Agent showed us this multi level Penthouse it blew us away. We spared no expense in what we feel was a labour of love furnishing it. We have 50 feet of balcony on two floors with unobstructed views of the ocean and entire Guanacaste coast. We overlook Tamarindo beach and miles of wide white sand beaches with few rocks. I surf litterally right in front of my property. I can use all the amenities of the Hotel including Room Service. It's gated, with 24/7 security and quiet as a tomb at night the way i like it. My Penthouse is 80 feet above sea level and the views lift my spirits every time.

What makes this townhome unique

A 10000 sq foot pool and aditional 50 meters pool for laps directly in the heart of Tamarindo Beach, walking distance to everyhing. A revered Architect/Designer did our place and we love her work for us which we affectionetly call the BeachNest. We cherish the ambiance and embrace the tranquility we feel sitting on our spacious balconies with a glass of our best wine and looking out at the Coast and the emerald blue sea.

Beach Nest Vacation

We loved this property. Location was perfect, excellent view of the beach but removed enough to see lots of birds and wildlife from the condo balconies, including an entire family of Howler monkeys. The property is set up perfectly for 2 couples, lots of space and privacy for both couples as bedrooms are on separate levels, each with their own bath.The restaurants in town are excellent, and all within a reasonable walk from the condo. The beach is fantastic, clean and not a bit crowded. We plan to come back!

Beautiful place set high above busy Tamarindo, within walking distance of all the fun, but a world away. We had a great time. Clearly the owners of this unit put a lot of thought and care into decorating and it shows.

Owner's Response: i appreciate the kind remarks. This property, the beach nest, is without question one of the most memorable 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condominiums I have ever seen. The design was masterfully developed by a world renown architect without a budget. The country balinese theme is a work of art but i love the comfort as well. We invite those with discriminating tastes to be our guests. Oh Yes the views are unforgetable. cheers jh
