This place exceeded expectations, was ideal in location for the whole family.
This place not only lives up to expectations, it by far exceeds them. This was our first time to Maui in nearly a decade. Last time we were in the area we stayed at the Maui Sunset (Down the street on the ocean side) but in my opinion this place is the better choice for several reasons. First, though this place is across the street from the beach, it is more ideally located for view. From the lanai you can see the ocean, and watch the sun rise and set in spectacular spectrums of color. This is on S. Kihei Road, and the beach is the only strip nearby that does not have a big resort on it, so there are hardly any people there! It is like having your own beach in the evening especially. Walk a little north or south and you will find plenty of people if that is your thing, but having a more private beach steps from the condo was amazing for us. We watched whales flipping around in the water, and made sand castles with the perfect soft sand, and enjoyed swimming in the clear water. Another thing that makes this condo so great is that it is a smaller complex, meaning the swimming pool and hot tub are often available without too many others around. The condo was well stocked with everything we needed. There is plenty of beach stuff, a cooler, coffee grinder, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and clean newer linens. She had plenty of laundry soap, and plenty of towels for all of us (both bath and beach towels) making this the most stress free vacation I have ever had. I am trying to give you the abbreviated version because I could go on for days about how I loved the floors in the condo, and the air conditioned place was nice in the hottest part of the afternoon. If you are looking to have a great time, in a central location for everything you want to do when you are on Maui. Like: Do the Road to Hana, trip to the Haleakala Summit (SUNSET) and check out the brisket or pulled pork at Fat Daddy's and Da Kitchen (both on S Kihei Rd)has the best fish and chips. Mahalo Susan!
